Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan visits and works at Nghe An Oncology Hospital.
Continuing her working visit to Nghe An, on the afternoon of May 16th, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan visited and worked at the Nghe An Oncology Hospital. Accompanying her were representatives from various departments and divisions of the Ministry of Health. Representing Nghe An province was Ms. Le Thi Hoai Chung, member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Department of Health.
At the meeting, Dr. Pham Vinh Hung, Director of Nghe An Oncology Hospital, presented a summary of the hospital's activities since its establishment. He particularly highlighted the period since the completion and operation of Phase 2 of the hospital – one of 80 key projects – coinciding with the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

The Minister of Health acknowledged and highly appreciated the hospital's development over its 15 years of establishment, and expressed his hope that the unit would continue to be a shining example for the healthcare sector in the North Central region. The Minister was impressed by the spacious and modern facilities, as well as the team and the professional expertise of the doctors and medical staff. In particular, the hospital staff has made many efforts to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, invest in equipment, develop expertise, and create patient satisfaction.

The Minister stated that Vietnam sees approximately 80,000 new cancer patients each year. Therefore, the construction of a specialized hospital in Nghe An with nearly 1,900 beds and many modern techniques has contributed, is contributing, and will continue to contribute to reducing the burden on higher-level hospitals and better meeting the treatment needs of the people. The Minister also affirmed that the Ministry of Health will continue to improve the legal framework, creating favorable conditions for the development of medical facilities, and expressed the hope that the Nghe An Oncology Hospital will continue to cooperate with grassroots healthcare in screening and bringing medical services closer to the people.
Earlier, the delegation visited several departments and presented gifts to 10 seriously ill patients being treated in the Internal Medicine Department 1 of the hospital.
