The Command of the 20th Army Corps extends New Year greetings to the leaders of Nghe An province.
On the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year - the Year of the Horse 2026, on the afternoon of February 5th, a delegation from the Command of the 20th Army Corps, led by Colonel Bui Van Quy - Deputy Commander of the 20th Army Corps and Deputy General Director of Saigon Newport Corporation, visited and extended New Year greetings to the leaders of Nghe An province.

Welcoming the delegation, on the Nghe An province side were Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Dinh Bat Van - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; and leaders of the Provincial Party Committee Office.

Business on multiple pillars
The 20th Corps was established on May 30, 2025, based on the Saigon Port (business name: Saigon Newport Corporation Limited), under the Ministry of National Defense.
This is a military unit that simultaneously performs national defense duties and develops the maritime economy; focusing on the following pillars: port operation and exploitation; logistics services; transportation and other maritime economic sectors; investment and business in industrial parks; coastal and island tourism; and the development of clean and renewable energy.
On behalf of the delegation from the 20th Army Corps Command, Colonel Bui Van Quy extended New Year greetings to the provincial leaders and people of Nghe An, wishing them a New Year filled with joy, happiness, and success.

Colonel Bui Van Quy also informed the provincial leaders about the results of production, business activities and social welfare work of the 20th Army Corps in general and Saigon Newport Corporation in particular throughout the country, including Nghe An province; he also stated that the unit is continuing to conduct surveys to plan for stronger investment cooperation in the province, especially in the logistics sector, as the province has a complete system of sea, road, rail, and air transport, and the Vinh - Thanh Thuy expressway is connected to neighboring Laos.
Strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual advantage.
On behalf of the provincial leadership, Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - sincerely thanked the 20th Army Corps, Saigon Newport Corporation, and Colonel Bui Van Quy personally for their affection and concern for Nghe An province during the Lunar New Year, as well as for their support in building schools and providing social welfare assistance to people in several localities in the province.

Expressing delight at the long history and achievements of the 20th Army Corps, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Hoang Nghia Hieu, provided information on the province's socio-economic situation, particularly emphasizing the conditions and areas that the province is prioritizing in order to align with the production and business pillars of the 20th Army Corps.
Notably, the province boasts an 82 km long coastline and several major projects have been, or are currently being, launched and implemented, such as the Vinh – Thanh Thuy expressway connecting to Laos, with the planned construction and formation of a logistics center in the border region; the construction of the Cua Lo deep-water port project with a 32-hectare port logistics area; the Quynh Lap NLG gas-fired power plant project; and the Quynh Lap deep-water port…

Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu also expressed his hope that, with the province's current advantages and the development potential of the enterprise, especially with the affection and responsibility of Colonel Bui Van Quy - a son of Nghe An province - he will continue to show interest in cooperating and investing in areas where both sides have strengths, as well as accompanying the locality in social welfare work, contributing to promoting the development of Nghe An.
