Professional training for People's Assessors in 2026
On the afternoon of June 25th, the People's Court of Nghe An province organized a training conference to provide professional development for newly elected and re-elected people's assessors of the two-level People's Courts.
The judges received training in skills such as: reviewing case files; conducting first-instance trials of various types of criminal, civil, and administrative cases. They also discussed and exchanged experiences in adjudicating various types of cases and listened to the provincial People's Court leaders provide in-depth explanations of several laws and codes, and answer questions on specialized topics.

The conference aims to cultivate and enhance the skills of people's assessors, especially new assessors (for the 2026-2031 term), in researching case files, resolving various types of cases, and participating in court proceedings. This will enable them to master the procedures and skills for participating in the trial panel at court hearings; and to exchange experiences in adjudicating various types of cases.

This is also an opportunity for jurors to exchange, share, and learn from practical experiences, gradually improving the quality of their participation in trials, promoting the effectiveness of the mechanism of people's participation in trials, and meeting the requirements of judicial reform in the current period.
