Four Russian servicemen have been killed in Syria as a result of shelling by militants, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"In Deir Ezzor province (Syria), an artillery unit of the Syrian government forces was attacked by mobile terrorist groups. Two Russian military advisors were killed on the spot. Five Russian soldiers were wounded and promptly taken to a Russian military hospital," the statement said.
Russian military doctors fought to save the lives of two wounded soldiers, but were unsuccessful. The command recommended awarding the Russian servicemen state honors.
As mentioned, Syrian soldiers, along with Russian military advisors, participated in the fight that lasted about an hour, killing 43 terrorists and destroying 6 heavily armed off-road vehicles.
