(Baonghean.vn) - After 7 years of implementing the National Target Program for building new rural areas, on the morning of September 6th, Bong Khe commune (Con Cuong district) held a ceremony to announce and receive the title of commune meeting the standards of a new rural area.

Thanks to focused solutions for developing agricultural and livestock production, and forming effective production models, the commune has contributed to creating jobs, increasing income, and reducing poverty. Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong praised the efforts and achievements of the Party Committee, government, and people of Bong Khe commune, Con Cuong district, in implementing the National Target Program for building new rural areas. He also noted that Bong Khe commune needs to continue implementing and improving the quality of the criteria to be higher and more sustainable according to the new set of criteria.
Specifically, the focus is on solutions to strengthen propaganda efforts so that people deeply understand the meaning and importance of building new rural areas; prioritizing economic development to continuously increase people's income; paying attention to applying scientific and technological advancements to agricultural production, encouraging models of production linkages and product consumption agreements between farmers and businesses; and mobilizing and effectively utilizing resources to implement projects serving the people.

At the ceremony, provincial leaders presented the Certificate of Recognition for achieving New Rural Area standards to the locality and awarded 500 million VND in prize money from the province; and presented Certificates of Commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to 4 collectives and 3 individuals.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Con Cuong district awarded Certificates of Commendation to 1 collective and 3 individuals; the People's Committee of Bong Khe commune also awarded commendations to 4 individuals and 3 collectives for their outstanding achievements in building new rural areas.
