According to the South China Morning Post, residents in Chongqing were surprised to see a woman throwing numerous banknotes, including many 100-yuan notes (approximately 330,000 Vietnamese dong), in a crowded area of the city.

Meanwhile, the Chongqing Morning Post reported that a crowd of curious passersby gathered around the area where the money had fallen, but no one rushed to pick it up. Police quickly arrived at the scene and collected the scattered banknotes. They counted a total of 16,369 yuan (approximately 54 million Vietnamese dong).

The police later located the owner of the money and returned it. Explaining her actions, the woman said she was in a "bad mood" at the time.

The incident occurred last Sunday at noon. Witnesses described a woman with long hair, wearing a leather jacket and shorts, emerging from a drugstore and walking to the pedestrian crossing. She paused briefly, pulled a handful of money from her handbag, and threw it onto the street.

A security camera video capturing the woman's behavior has caused a stir on Chinese social media. One Weibo user joked, "He really wants to be there for you when you're feeling down (!)"; another wrote, "Now it's my turn to feel bad after reading this. I don't even have 16,000 yuan in my savings account."
