A woman in Chongqing, China caused traffic chaos on the street when she threw more than 16,000 yuan on the road just because she was in a "bad mood".

According to the South China Morning Post, people in Chongqing were surprised to see a woman throwing many bills, including many 100 yuan bills (equivalent to 330,000 VND) in a crowded area in the city.

Meanwhile, the Chongqing Morning Post reported that a crowd of curious passersby gathered around the area where the money fell, but no one rushed to pick it up. The police quickly arrived at the scene and collected the scattered bills on the road. They counted a total of 16,369 yuan (about 54 million VND).

Police later found the owner of the money and returned it. Explaining her actions, the woman said she was in a “bad mood” at the time.

The incident happened on Sunday afternoon, witnesses described a woman with long hair, wearing a leather jacket and shorts walking out of a pharmacy and moving to the crosswalk. She paused for a moment, took a handful of money from her purse and threw it into the street.

Security camera footage of the woman’s actions has sparked a stir on Chinese social media. One Weibo user joked: “I really want to be with you when you’re depressed (!)”; another wrote: “Now it’s my turn to be in a bad mood after reading this. I don’t even have 16,000 yuan in my savings account.”
