BYD launches 1,500 kW super-fast charging system: 5 minutes of charging provides 500 km of range.
BYD's next-generation charging system boasts a maximum power output of 1,500 kW per port, utilizing a smart sliding rail design to optimize operation and significantly reduce operating costs.
On March 7th, BYD officially introduced its new generation of fast charging stations, featuring breakthroughs in both design and performance. The biggest highlight of this technology is its ability to deliver energy extremely quickly, allowing electric vehicles to travel an additional 400 to 500 km after just 5 minutes of charging.
The T-shaped slide rail design optimizes the user experience.
BYD's new charging stand impresses with its unique T-shaped sliding rail design, allowing the approximately 2 kg charging cable to remain suspended in mid-air. This mechanism makes it easy for users to plug in and unplug the charging gun with just one hand without much effort.
In addition, the sliding rail system allows for flexible horizontal movement, combined with an automatically rotating charging nozzle. This design ensures perfect compatibility with various charging port locations on current electric vehicles, providing maximum convenience for drivers.

Superior performance and integrated energy storage technology.
Technically, each individual charging gun in the system can achieve a maximum power output of up to 1,500 kW. When operating at full capacity, the entire charging station can supply up to 2,100 kW. Notably, the two charging guns are designed to operate independently, allowing for simultaneous charging of two vehicles while maintaining stable performance.
Another key advantage is that the charging towers have built-in energy storage battery systems. This solution not only helps reduce pressure on the national power grid during peak hours but also cuts construction costs by up to 60% compared to traditional ultra-fast charging stations.
| Specifications | Detailed value |

Compatibility and infrastructure deployment roadmap
The new charging system is fully compatible with BYD's entire range of fast-charging electric vehicles, as well as electric vehicles using 1,000V high-voltage platforms from third-party manufacturers. To optimize the experience, users can utilize the BYD Flash Charging app for quick contactless payments.
Regarding infrastructure development, BYD's strategic goal is to deploy approximately 4,000 fast charging stations and establish 15,000 partner charging points nationwide by 2026. This is a crucial step in strengthening the electric vehicle ecosystem and thoroughly addressing customer concerns about driving range.
