BYD Song Ultra DM-i launched: PHEV SUV with 310 km pure electric range, priced from 453 million VND.

BYD has officially launched its all-new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) SUV, the Song Ultra DM-i, in the domestic market. With a list price ranging from 129,900 to 159,900 yuan (approximately 453-558 million VND), this marks the first time a B-segment PHEV SUV with a pure electric range of up to 310 km has a starting price below 130,000 yuan.

Record-breaking performance and fuel efficiency.

The Song Ultra DM-i is equipped with BYD's advanced fifth-generation DM hybrid technology. The model offers two pure electric driving range options (CLTC cycle): 205 km and 310 km. A notable highlight is its energy efficiency, with fuel consumption on a bare battery at just 3.3 liters/100 km (NEDC cycle).

With a full tank of fuel and a fully charged battery, the car can travel up to 1,845 km. This makes the Song Ultra DM-i one of the SUVs with the best driving range in its segment, flexibly meeting the needs of both urban commuting and long cross-country trips.

High-end interior space and amenities

Despite being positioned in the B-segment, the Song Ultra DM-i boasts a wheelbase of 2,840 mm, providing a spacious cabin comparable to higher-segment models. The car is equipped with 130 standard features, 46 of which are considered segment-leading.

Notably, this is BYD's first model to integrate a super-intelligent artificial intelligence system called "Didi Shrimp". This system allows the vehicle to switch from a passive response state to an active interaction with the user, supporting fuzzy data search and intelligent responses in all traffic situations.

In terms of safety, the Song Ultra DM-i offers the optional Tian Shen Zhi Yan B (God's Eye B) driver assistance system with lidar technology. BYD also provides a special safety commitment policy for its urban navigation and smart parking features, including insurance packages for new customers and over-the-air (OTA) upgrades for existing owners to the Tian Shen Zhi Yan 5.0 version.
