New song 'Come back to Hung Nguyen with me'
"Going to Hung Nguyen with you" is, first and foremost, the heartfelt expression of a son's love for his homeland, a love like that for his mother, father, and blood relatives. That love, that poetic verse transformed into music, is pure, simple, and sincere, reflecting the character of each person on this land with Thanh Mountain and Lam River.
The song "Returning to Hung Nguyen with You" is an incredibly warm and passionate blend of poetry by Hoang Nghia and music by Xuan Hoa. The heartfelt, pure, and emotionally rich lyrics, intertwined with the music written on the foundation of Nghe An's Vi Giam folk songs, create a lyrical and moving melody. Furthermore, singer Thanh Quy, with her clear yet not thin voice, captivates listeners with her nuanced vocal delivery, sometimes sharp, sometimes gentle, as if speaking on behalf of the poet about the heroic and beloved land of Hung Nguyen.
Everyone knows that Hung Nguyen lies beside the legendary Lam River, protected and nurtured by the river's alluvial banks for generations. It is a region of picturesque landscapes and a land of outstanding people. It is on this very land that great figures such as Emperor Quang Trung, Minister Dinh Bat Tuy, General Secretary Le Hong Phong, Martyr Pham Hong Thai, and reformer Nguyen Truong To were born…
During these days, every child of Vietnam cannot forget the "drumbeat of 1930," a significant milestone: On September 12, 1930, tens of thousands of farmers in Hung Nguyen rose up in protest against the French colonial rule and its collaborators. The French suppressed the protest, resulting in the deaths of 217 people. This was the peak of the Nghe Tinh Soviet Uprising of 1930-1931, creating a resounding impact throughout the world and marking a brilliant milestone in the history of our country's revolutionary struggle.
And the poem, set to music, "Returning to Hung Nguyen with You," is also dedicated by the author to his homeland and the sons and daughters who have dedicated and sacrificed for this land.
