The whole village called out to each other to put out the fire before dawn.
---> 'The burning village' continues to experience mysterious fires.
The fire broke out at Mr. Le Xuan Luong's house, with thick smoke and flames engulfing the two haystacks in front of the gate. Upon hearing the shouts of "fire," many people, though still half-asleep, quickly grabbed buckets and basins and rushed to Mr. Luong's house.
At the scene, flames rose high above the haystacks. Those present quickly scooped up water and sprayed it to extinguish the fire, while others pulled the unburned straw out. It took more than 30 minutes to bring the fire under control, but about 3 sao (approximately 0.3 hectares) of straw out of the 7 sao (approximately 0.7 hectares) belonging to Mr. Luong's family were destroyed by the fire.

According to those involved in fighting the fire, on the night of September 29th, the commune's police force was continuously patrolling and inspecting the hamlet, but the fire still broke out. As the patrol team was returning to the commune's People's Committee office, they received a report of a fire and immediately returned to help the villagers extinguish it.
This is the 21st fire in Luan Phuong hamlet and the first one to occur in the morning. Previous fires usually happened between 11 AM and 1 PM, and between 7 PM and 10 PM.
Mr. Luong said that when neighbors rushed to the scene, his family realized their haystack was on fire. Although they had prepared everything from buckets and basins to a water pump and hoses, they couldn't put out the fire in time. His family has experienced two fires before; the first one occurred at 8 PM on September 16th, but they discovered it early that day and were able to extinguish it in time.
After the fire, waiting for daylight, despite the rain, the brothers and neighbors in the village still helped Mr. Luong's family load all the remaining straw onto ox carts and take it to his grandmother's house in Phu Xuan hamlet, 1.5 km away.
