Singer Ma Tai-shan passed away at the age of 51.
The male singer, a former star of the Western Vietnam fairs, passed away in the hospital after a long battle with severe kidney failure and a leaky heart valve.
The final journey of life and serious complications
According to his family, singer Ma Thai Son has been battling illness for a long time. Despite his weak health, swollen legs, and need for regular dialysis, he still tries to perform to make ends meet.
However, more than a month ago, his health suddenly deteriorated. He was admitted to Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital in a coma, with blood fungal infection and necrosis of the leg due to widespread soft tissue infection. Doctors prescribed intensive treatment, but his condition did not improve.
The career of a former "fairground star".
Singer Ma Thai Son, whose real name is Phan Quang Hai, was born in 1974. He was once a famous singer at fairground stages in the Mekong Delta, loved by audiences for his excellent and emotional live singing ability.
Later, when fairground stages were no longer popular, his career gradually stalled. Due to difficult circumstances and the lack of a family of his own, he was cared for by his maternal aunt. Many colleagues donated to help cover his medical expenses in his final days.

His niece, singer Truc Chi, shared on her personal page: "He was a gifted singer, someone who lived life to the fullest for his profession, his audience, and for his life... he will always be remembered."
The funeral of singer Ma Thai Son will be held in Hamlet 54, Binh Hung Commune from the morning of November 27th to November 30th. Afterwards, his remains will be cremated at Da Phuoc Vien Cemetery.
