Singer Phi Nhung passed away at 11:57 am on September 28 at Cho Ray Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City after a month and a half of Covid-19 treatment, at the age of 51.
The information was confirmed by Cho Ray Hospital. The patient's conditionPhi Nhungstarted to get worse from September 21. During treatment, she was put on a ventilator, had blood filtration, ECMO intervention... but there were not many positive changes.

Before being infected with Covid-19, Phi Nhung actively participated in charity kitchens to cook rice for frontline forces, give gifts to the disadvantaged and call for donations to buy ventilators for Cho Ray Hospital. However, on her hospital bed, while still conscious, Phi Nhung still smiled and said: "It's okay, I will overcome it strongly." Before that, when her friends urged her to return to the US with her daughter, Phi Nhung still said she couldn't go because Saigon was seriously damaged, and many people were still suffering from the epidemic.
