Singer Tuan Hung surprised his colleagues and fans by posting a photo of himself with a shaved head. Buddhist monks helped him shave his head at dawn on the summit of Yen Tu mountain, under the watchful eye of his wife, Thu Huong.

According to reports, Tuan Hung shaved his head to pray for his mother's health, as she is battling a serious illness.

"Hair will grow back, but there's only one mother in this world. I shaved my head not to change my image, but to let go of my ego and retain my humanity. This isn't a sacrifice, but an expression of gratitude to the one who gave birth to me. I hope my mother gets healthier every day, and that my heart finds peace each day. And I hope that those who still have their mothers don't wait until this moment to cherish them," he wrote.

The article attracted public attention. Singer Ha Le, musician Tu Dua, MC Anh Quan, the wife of People's Artist Cong Ly, the husband of diva Thanh Lam... shared their thoughts and prayed for Tuan Hung's mother.

In response to a negative comment from a netizen: "Isn't that a bit too much of a show-off?", he calmly replied: "You can think whatever you want."

In recent days, Tuan Hung has often posted heartfelt messages expressing his deep sorrow as his mother has been hospitalized for treatment of a serious illness.

Many colleagues, such as supermodel Ha Vy and musician Ha Anh, visited Tuan Hung's mother in the hospital.

Ha Vy recounted: "Every time I go to see my mom (her affectionate way of referring to her), she laughs so hard she almost gets 'traumatized' by this little Vy. Who would ever ask her to take cute, stylish photos, pouting and all that?"

Tuan Hung added that his mother's illness caused chaos in the family, making everything difficult. "When a family member is sick, you realize even more how important health is," the singer shared.
