A lackluster career and controversial statements.
In recent years, Vu Ha's music career has been less vibrant. His name is often mentioned as a close friend of singer Dam Vinh Hung. The two frequently appear together in videos about their daily lives, trips, and comedy sketches on social media.
Furthermore, Vu Ha also attracted attention with his controversial statements. In one video, he made comments that were considered derogatory towards contemporary folk music, causing mixed reactions from the public. Following the criticism, the singer gradually limited his statements on social media.
The golden age with high fees and a string of hit songs.
Before becoming embroiled in legal controversies, Vu Ha was a prominent figure in the Vietnamese music scene, belonging to the "Green Wave" generation of the late 1990s. Born in 1968 in Ho Chi Minh City, he began his career in tea rooms and quickly became known for his lively Vietnamese-language covers of foreign songs.
His name is associated with many familiar songs such as "Chao Miao Doll," "Doe-Eyed Cha Cha Cha," "Frozen Heart," and "Miyahee's Lover." Vu Ha's music has a cheerful style and was once widely popular in the record market and entertainment venues.
Vu Ha once shared about his golden age, when his fees could reach 30 million VND per night. He said that at one point he performed shows 28 days a month and used the money he earned to buy gold for safekeeping.
He maintains a private personal life alongside his wife, who is 8 years older than him.
Besides his career, Vu Ha's personal life has also attracted attention, especially after he publicly revealed his wife, Huyen Van, who is 8 years older than him. Although they don't have children together, their marriage has lasted for nearly three decades.
The male singer once shared about his wife: "She is someone I owe a debt of gratitude to for life. If it weren't for Van, I probably wouldn't have made it this far."
