Immediately after the incident, a series of world leaders, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel, US President Barack Obama, European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker, King Mohammed VI of Morocco, the Prime Minister of Israel, and the governments of Vietnam, Japan, India, and Spain, expressed their outrage and disgust at the terrorist acts and sent their deepest condolences to the people and government of Paris.

Not only governments around the world, but also people worldwide are quietly expressing their support and solidarity with the French people. In front of many French embassies around the world, bouquets of flowers and candles have been laid as a tribute to the unfortunate victims of the November 13th attacks.

On social media, hashtags like #PrayForParis and #PriezPourParis, accompanied by images of the Eiffel Tower shrouded in black, were constantly being shared. Social media sites also created "Safety Check" statuses – a function specifically for emergencies that allows users to report they are safe.

Meanwhile, at the World Trade Center in New York, the city hall in San Francisco, the CN Tower in Toronto, and many other locations around the world, the colors of the French flag have been illuminated as a tribute to the victims of the Paris attacks in the coming days.
