(Baonghean.vn) - At 3:30 p.m. on April 11, while playing on Cua Lo beach, some tourists discovered a dead whale washed ashore in the area opposite Binh Minh Square (Nghi Huong ward, Cua Lo town).This is the third time in a month that whale carcasses have washed ashore in the Cua Lo and Cua Hoi areas (Nghe An).

The dead whale that washed ashore this time was small, about 1 meter long, weighed about 40 kg, and had many injuries on its body. This made many people quite suspicious and asked why so many whales washed ashore in just under a month?

After receiving the information, many fishermen and representatives of Nghi Huong ward government (Cua Lo) were present to conduct a burial ceremony for the whale according to folk beliefs.

Previously, on March 16, fishermen in Xuan Loc hamlet, Nghi Xuan commune (Nghi Loc district) discovered a whale carcass that had drifted ashore for many days and was beginning to decompose. The whale was about 1.5 meters long, weighed more than 50 kg, and had signs of many injuries on its body.

22 days later (April 8), on the way out to sea to catch seafood, the boat of Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoa's family (Tan Nho Block, Nghi Hai Ward, Cua Lo Town) discovered a whale carcass drifting near Cua Hoi sea channel. The fact that so many dead whales had washed ashore in such a short time has caused concern among many fishermen.
