The media needs to step up its coverage of the operation of the two-tiered local government system.
On the afternoon of August 6th, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Provincial Journalists Association, organized the August 2025 press briefing.
Comrades Pham Ngoc Canh - Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and Tran Minh Ngoc - Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television Station, co-chaired the conference.

In July 2025, prominent issues and events in the fields of current affairs, politics, economics, society, national defense, security, and culture were fully and promptly reported and publicized by media agencies, meeting the information needs of readers and effectively carrying out propaganda and public opinion guidance.

Notably, this includes the dissemination of information about the visits and working activities; and the inspection and guidance on flood response and recovery efforts in Nghe An province by central government leaders.
Publicize the provincial leadership's inspection of the operational status of the two-tiered local government system in communes and wards, as well as the direction and inspection of flood response and recovery efforts in these localities.
In addition, the press agencies publicized activities to support and share with people affected by floods immediately after the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province issued its "call for support".

The press reported on many important issues at the 31st session of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026; many articles focused on the restructuring and streamlining of the administrative apparatus.
In addition, the press has also published many articles about the activities commemorating the 78th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), demonstrating the fine tradition of "Drinking water, remembering the source".
In the socio-economic field, many articles have assessed the economic picture of Nghe An over the past seven months.
In addition, information on the results of the 2025 national high school graduation exam; environmental pollution, food safety and hygiene, the complex developments of African swine fever in many localities, and obstacles in land clearance... have also been reported and reflected by the press.

In July 2025, media outlets supported and appealed for donations to help disadvantaged people in Nghe An province, raising a total of over 600 million VND.
At the conference, representatives from several media outlets suggested that the Provincial People's Committee should reward media agencies and reporters who worked in the flood-affected areas recently; the province should also build a new database of newly discovered communes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of information.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Pham Ngoc Canh – Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department – acknowledged the opinions reflected by representatives of the press agencies at the press briefing.
Regarding future propaganda directions, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department requests that media agencies continue to disseminate information and propaganda supporting the recovery efforts following natural disasters in the western communes of Nghe An province.

The media needs to step up its coverage of the operation of the two-tiered local government system and the activities of public administrative service centers at the commune level.
The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department also requested that media agencies intensify their dissemination of information on Party building and rectification, the construction of the political system; administrative reform, the results of foreign information work, the protection of maritime sovereignty; and the positive and clear achievements in attracting investment and socio-cultural development in the province.

In addition, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department also requested that media outlets open special pages and sections to prominently publicize major events and holidays during the month.
At the press briefing, representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism launched the "Design and Creation Contest for Characteristic Souvenir Products of Nghe An".
Contest entry requirements: Design unique and attractive gift and souvenir products that vividly reflect the culture and image of Nghe An, serving tourists, diplomatic events, and official receptions. There are no restrictions on theme or materials, but priority should be given to using environmentally friendly materials that are easy to mass-produce and have high applicability.
Contest format:
Preliminary round: We accept product photos, drawings, or design samples from now until September 30, 2025.
Final round: Taking place from October 10, 2025 to November 15, 2025, with selected products to be fully crafted and submitted to the Organizing Committee.
Announcement of results: Expected in December 2025.
