Press agencies are stepping up their efforts to disseminate information about the implementation of Resolution No. 39 of the Politburo on Nghe An.

On the afternoon of January 10th, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications, and the Provincial Journalists Association jointly organized the January 2024 Press Briefing Conference.

In December 2023, the press agencies basically adhered to the principles, objectives, and propaganda orientations of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; providing timely and comprehensive information on domestic and foreign affairs activities, as well as the leadership's direction and management activities. The press agencies also published many news articles highly praising the 17th Session of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026.

Newspapers and television stations reported on many activities related to Christmas 2023, such as visits and greetings to parishes and sub-parishes in various localities by provincial leaders; they also highly appreciated the Catholic community's good implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, patriotic emulation movements, and campaigns, contributing to socio-economic development.

In the socio-economic field, several topics and themes have received significant attention and coverage from the press, such as the results of implementing socio-economic targets in 2023 across various sectors, industries, and localities.

In addition, some articles also reflect the violations of certain construction projects; projects behind schedule; projects implemented ineffectively; and prolonged "stalled" projects causing waste of land resources and loss of state budget revenue. Some opinions suggest solutions and sanctions to decisively address stalled projects, projects behind schedule, and projects using land for purposes other than intended in the province.

News agencies and social media platforms have published, shared, and documented numerous news articles, images, and reports highlighting the innovations and developments in Nghe An's tourism industry.

In December 2023, media outlets in the province donated, appealed for donations, and contributed to help disadvantaged people in the province with a total amount of over 1 billion VND, including cash and in-kind contributions.

Regarding information orientation for January 2024, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requests that media agencies continue to promote the results of the 8th Conference of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Media agencies should pay special attention to and intensify the dissemination of information on the implementation of Action Program No. 68-CTr/TU, dated November 11, 2023, of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on implementing Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW, dated July 18, 2023, of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province until 2030, with a vision to 2045.

At the same time, strengthen information and communication to highlight the results and achievements attained in all fields during the first half of the term implementing the 19th Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress. Strengthen communication about the results of Party building and political system building in the province in 2023.

Simultaneously, media outlets will continue to publicize movements, models, and exemplary cases of "Studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh," linked to the 2024 theme; strengthen the dissemination of "bright spots" in socio-economic development to spread and promote achievements in socio-economic development in the past months; and actively participate in the 2024 journalism awards.

Focus on publicizing activities celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year, cultural and sports activities, and festivals during the 2024 New Year and the Year of the Dragon; preparing goods supplies, measures to ensure traffic flow, and meeting the travel needs of the people, especially workers in industrial zones…

At the conference, the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department presented Certificates of Commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to the authors whose works won prizes in the 3rd Political Commentary Contest on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation, 2023.

Chairman of Ky Son District People's Committee Nguyen Viet Hung provided information about the 2024 Western Nghe An Marathon "Returning to the mountainous region - Conquering Puxailaileng peak, the roof of the Truong Son mountain range," which is expected to be held from February 17-18, 2024 (corresponding to the 8th-9th day of the first lunar month) in Ky Son district.
