Information from Nghe An Department of Health: As of 6:00 a.m. on May 29, 67/72 workers of MLB TENERGY Limited Liability Company (Yen Thanh town, Yen Thanh district) who suffered food poisoning have been treated well, their health is stable and they have been discharged from the hospital to go home...
By noon on May 29, the health of the remaining 5 food-poisoned workers had stabilized. Yen Thanh District General Hospital and Bao Son General Hospital are completing procedures for the discharge of these 5 workers.
As reported by Nghe An Newspaper: At noon on May 28, at MLB TENERGY Limited Liability Company, a food poisoning incident occurred, with many people infected... After the incident, Nghe An Department of Health and Yen Thanh District directed and organized emergency care and timely treatment for workers with food poisoning.
Following the direction of all levels and sectors, Yen Thanh General Hospital and Bao Son General Hospital received and provided emergency treatment to workers suffering from food poisoning. All workers were treated with oral rehydration solution, electrolyte replacement, and monitoring.
At the same time, Nghe An Department of Health also directed the provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-Department to send a working group to coordinate with Yen Thanh District Medical Center and local authorities to conduct field investigations, collect samples locally and send them to the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene Control to determine the cause.

Field investigation results show that MLB TENERGY Limited Company has complete food safety documents. Regarding actual conditions, the company's collective kitchen still has some shortcomings.
Specifically, the waste collection system has no lid and is not hygienic; the wastewater drainage system is not hygienic; there are insects in the food processing area; the processing table is not safe (there are broken tiles); food sample storage is not in accordance with regulations (incorrect number of samples stored, sample storage cabinets are not hygienic).
Currently, the Food Safety and Hygiene Department of Nghe An province has sent food samples to the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene Control to determine the cause of the incident.
Also on the morning of May 29, the provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Department issued Decision No. 50/QD-ATTP to inspect food safety at MLB TENERGY Limited Liability Company. The inspection period is 30 days from the date of announcement of the decision. The inspection team includes officials from the Nghe An Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Department, the Nghe An Provincial Department of Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Product Quality Management (Department of Agriculture and Rural Development), the Health Department and the Yen Thanh District Health Center.
