According to information from the Nghe An Department of Health: As of 6:00 AM on May 29th, 67 out of 72 workers from MLB TENERGY Co., Ltd. (Yen Thanh town, Yen Thanh district) who suffered from food poisoning have received good treatment, their health is stable, and they have been discharged from the hospital and returned home...

By noon on May 29th, the health of the remaining 5 workers who suffered from food poisoning had stabilized. Yen Thanh District General Hospital and Bao Son General Hospital are in the process of discharging these 5 workers.

As reported by Nghe An Newspaper: On the afternoon of May 28th, a food poisoning incident occurred at MLB TENERGY Co., Ltd., affecting many people... Following the incident, the Nghe An Department of Health and Yen Thanh district directed and organized timely emergency care and treatment for the workers suffering from food poisoning.

Following directives from higher authorities, Yen Thanh General Hospital and Bao Son General Hospital have provided emergency care and treatment to workers suffering from food poisoning. All workers have been treated with oral rehydration solution (ORS), intravenous fluids to replenish water and electrolytes, and are being monitored.

At the same time, the Nghe An Department of Health also directed the Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-Department to send a working group to coordinate with the Yen Thanh District Health Center and local authorities to conduct on-site investigations, collect samples locally, and send them to the National Institute of Food Safety and Hygiene Testing to determine the cause.

The field investigation results indicate that MLB TENERGY Co., Ltd. has complete documentation regarding food safety. However, the company's canteen still has some shortcomings in terms of actual conditions.

Specifically, the waste collection system lacked covers and was unsanitary; the wastewater drainage system was unsanitary; insects were present in the food processing area; the processing tables were unsanitary (broken tiles); and food sample storage was not in accordance with regulations (incorrect number of samples stored, unsanitary sample storage cabinets).

Currently, the Nghe An Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Department has sent food samples to the National Institute of Food Safety and Hygiene Testing to determine the exact cause of the incident.

Also on the morning of May 29th, the Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Department issued Decision No. 50/QD-ATTP to inspect food safety at MLB TENERGY Co., Ltd. The inspection period is 30 days from the date of announcement of the decision. The inspection team includes officials from the Nghe An Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Department, the Nghe An Provincial Department of Agricultural, Forestry and Fisheries Product Quality Management (Department of Agriculture and Rural Development), the Health Department and the Health Center of Yen Thanh District.
