Landslides in Nghe An are being repaired.
The Party Committee, authorities and local forces of the districts in Western Nghe An have been mobilized to overcome landslides and clear cut roads.
On the morning of September 12, information from communes and villages with landslides in Ky Son, Tuong Duong, and Que Phong districts showed that many roads had been reopened after officials, residents, and local forces made efforts to fix the problem. Some localities even mobilized forces overnight to clear the roads for people to pass through.

In Ky Son district, the days of heavy rain after storm No. 3 caused many roads to be cut off and many landslides to occur. For example, in Huoi Tu commune, a landslide occurred in Huoi Kha village, Trung Tam, causing traffic jams and temporarily cutting off the road from Huoi Tu to Bac Ly, My Ly, Muong Long. The commune has put up warning signs, traffic diversions, and instructions for people to cross.
Mr. Ha Ba Ly - Vice Chairman of Huoi Tu Commune People's Committee said that in the afternoon and night of September 11, the commune mobilized forces to handle the large amount of landslides on the road surface to clear the road. Therefore, this morning, September 12, motorbikes and cars can pass normally, but still need to pay attention to avoid slippery areas and areas with high risk of landslides.

In My Ly commune, there were many landslides such as the road to Cha Nga village, Xang Tren village, Yen Hoa village, Xieng Tam village, etc. By the morning of September 12, at some locations buried by rocks and soil, the road surface had been treated and the separation had been overcome.
The leader of My Ly Commune People's Committee said that by this morning, September 12, after the efforts of armed units and people, the landslides had basically been leveled and handled, motorbikes could pass; cars could not go because it was raining and excavators had not been mobilized to level the area.

In particular, dozens of landslides on the road from the center of My Ly commune to Cha Nga village have not been repaired yet because it was still raining on the morning of September 12.
The leader of the People's Committee of Ky Son district said that the district has mobilized machinery along with local forces to handle landslides on the road to Cha Nga village. Up to now, although this road has been cut off, the lives of more than 90 households here have not been affected, and people can be self-sufficient in food and daily activities for a long time.
As of the morning of September 12, the Nam Mo River section through Cha Nga village, My Ly commune, was still flowing rapidly and continuing to rise, so boating on the river was potentially dangerous and could cause accidents. The authorities advised Cha Nga residents to limit travel on roads and rivers unless there was an urgent need to avoid landslides, boat capsizing, and the risk of health and life.

Many landslides also occurred in Muong Tip and Muong Ai communes. On the morning of September 12, leaders of the District Party Committee and People's Committee of Ky Son district went to these two communes to directly survey and grasp the situation of landslides, landslide risks and direct remedial measures.
In Dooc May commune, local authorities said that this morning, September 12, it was still raining heavily, continuing to cause landslides on the road from Huoi Vieng village to the center of Dooc May commune. The landslide was 12 meters long and could not be repaired by machinery. Local authorities and officers and soldiers of Keng Du Border Guard Station mobilized forces to dredge mud and restore traffic. By 10:00 a.m. on September 12, traffic was restored.

Along with being ready to support local people, Keng Du Border Guard Station also coordinated with local authorities to inspect vulnerable areas to have response plans, ensuring absolute safety for people.

In Tuong Duong and Que Phong districts, the villages with landslides have also been handled. The leader of the Tuong Duong District People's Committee said that the communes and villages have proactively mobilized local forces to clear roads and clear rocks and soil in a timely manner. For example, in Luong Minh commune, on the afternoon of September 11, grassroots cadres, together with local people, union members, youth, military, and police, leveled rocks and soil to clear the traffic jam at Minh Tien village.
In Que Phong district, landslides in Nam Giai and Thong Thu communes have also been fixed, vehicles can now pass, but the roads are still slippery.
