Gratitude activities on War Invalids and Martyrs Day July 27
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27, many units and localities visited and gave gifts to policy families in the province.
Youth Union of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vinh City Social Insurance Youth Union and the Youth Union of the Deposit Insurance of Vietnam Branch in the North Central regionorganized many meaningful gratitude activities. The members of the 3 units came to offer flowers and incense at the Vietnam - Laos Martyrs Cemetery (Anh Son District, Nghe An Province), where there are graves of more than 11,000 officers, volunteer soldiers and military experts who died on the Lao battlefield.

Next, the delegation visited and presented 15 gifts to families with preferential policies and contributions to the revolution in Phuc Son commune and Anh Son town, Anh Son district, Nghe An province.
On the journey back to the roots, the delegation continued to visit Truong Bon historical relic site (My Son commune, Do Luong district, Nghe An province). At the memorial house of the relic site, in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the youth union members expressed their infinite gratitude for the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation.

The activity of showing gratitude towards the origin not only demonstrates the spirit of remembering the source of water when drinking water, repaying gratitude but also creates an environment for exchange and learning among members of the branches. July 24,in Hung Nhan commune, Hung Nguyen district,Nghe An Border Guard Command coordinated with local authorities and families to organize the inauguration ceremony and handover of the "House of Gratitude" to the family of Lieutenant Nguyen Dinh Luu, administrative control officer, Na Ngoi Border Guard Station.
Lieutenant Nguyen Dinh Luu is the son of disabled soldier Nguyen Van Hoa (class A, with a disability rate of 32%). He is in difficult circumstances. His wife died early in a traffic accident. He has two young children. The whole family lives in a level 4 house that is in disrepair and unsafe, especially during the rainy and stormy season.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the Nghe An Border Guard Command has launched a campaign for officers and soldiers to donate 70 million VND to support comrade Luu's family. Although the support fund is not enough to build a house, with the family's savings, the support of relatives, neighbors, and local authorities, after 2 months of construction, the "House of Gratitude" project has been completed and put into use.
The "House of Gratitude" project of comrade Luu's family ensures durability and long-term use value with a usable area of 75 m2; the total value of the project is about 150 million VND.
On the occasion of the inauguration and handover ceremony of the "House of Gratitude", the Nghe An Border Guard Command and local authorities presented comrade Luu's family with meaningful gifts.

Mr. Tran Phuc Thai, 69 years old, is a 4/4 war invalid and has difficult circumstances. His family is currently living in a dilapidated 3-room house that has seriously deteriorated. Understanding that situation, the Ministry of National Defense's Technical Application and Production One Member Co., Ltd. donated a house worth 70 million VND. The amount of money donated by military officers and soldiers per day is 100 VND.
On this occasion, the Youth Union of the Army and Military Region 4, the Ministry of National Defense's Technical Application and Production One Member Co., Ltd. presented 35 gifts to families with difficult circumstances, poor students who overcame difficulties to study well, each gift worth 1 million VND.
Warm houses and meaningful gifts given by units on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day are a source of encouragement to help families of policy beneficiaries strive to build a better life./.
