(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27th, many units and localities organized visits and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families in the province.

The grassroots Youth Union branches of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Social Insurance Branch of Vinh City, and the Vietnam Deposit Insurance Corporation's North Central Region Branch.They organized many meaningful commemorative activities. Members of the three units visited and laid flowers and offered incense at the Vietnam-Laos Martyrs' Cemetery (Anh Son District, Nghe An Province), where the graves of more than 11,000 volunteer officers, soldiers, and military experts who sacrificed their lives on the Laotian battlefield are located.

Following that, the delegation visited and presented 15 gifts to families eligible for preferential policies and those who contributed to the revolution in Phuc Son commune and Anh Son town, Anh Son district, Nghe An province.

Continuing their journey towards their roots, the delegation visited the Truông Bồn Historical Site (Mỹ Sơn commune, Đô Lương district, Nghệ An province). At the memorial house of the site, in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the youth union members expressed their boundless gratitude for the immense contributions of the heroic martyrs who sacrificed themselves for the cause of national liberation.

Activities expressing gratitude to our roots not only demonstrate the spirit of remembering our origins and repaying kindness, but also create an environment for exchange and learning among members of different branches. This enhances political awareness, patriotism, and determination to cultivate moral qualities and professional skills to be worthy members of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

July 24th,in Hung Nhan commune, Hung Nguyen district,The Nghe An Border Guard Command, in coordination with local authorities and the family, organized a ceremony to inaugurate and hand over a "House of Gratitude" to the family of Lieutenant Nguyen Dinh Luu, an administrative control officer at the Na Ngoi Border Guard Station.

Lieutenant Nguyen Dinh Luu is the son of war invalid Nguyen Van Hoa (Category A, with a 32% disability rate) who comes from a difficult background. His wife died early in a traffic accident, leaving him with two young children. The entire family lives in a dilapidated, unsafe single-story house, especially during the rainy and stormy season.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs, the Nghe An Border Guard Command launched a fundraising campaign among its officers and soldiers to support the family of Comrade Luu, raising 70 million VND. Although the funds were insufficient to build a house, with the family's savings, assistance from relatives, neighbors, and the local community, the "House of Gratitude" was completed and put into use after two months of construction.

The "House of Gratitude" for Comrade Luu's family is built to be durable and long-lasting, with a usable area of ​​75 m2; the total value of the project is approximately 150 million VND.

On the occasion of the inauguration and handover ceremony of the "House of Gratitude," the Nghe An Border Guard Command and the local Party committee and government presented meaningful gifts to Comrade Luu's family.

On July 24th, the Army Youth Committee, the Youth Committee of Military Region 4, and the Ministry of National Defense's One-Member Limited Liability Company for Technical Application and Production coordinated with the Tan Ky District Military Command to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a "100 Dong House" for Mr. Tran Phuc Thai's family in Tap Ma hamlet, Nghia Phuc commune, Tan Ky district.

Mr. Tran Phuc Thai, 69 years old, is a disabled veteran (category 4/4) facing difficult circumstances. Currently, his family lives in a dilapidated three-room house in serious disrepair. Understanding their plight, the Ministry of National Defense's One-Member Limited Liability Company for Technical Application and Production donated a house worth 70 million VND. This donation was made possible by daily contributions of 100 VND from military officers and soldiers.

On this occasion, the Youth Committee of the Army and Military Region 4, and the Ministry of National Defense's One-Member Limited Liability Company for Technical Application and Production, presented 35 gifts to disadvantaged policy beneficiary families and poor students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies, each gift worth 1 million VND.

The warm homes and meaningful gifts presented by various units on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day serve as encouragement for policy beneficiary families to strive for a better life.

At the home of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thuc in Hamlet 5, Quynh Hoa Commune, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Hai, acting on behalf of the Ministry of National Defense, presented a gift of a silk outfit and a gift from the District Military Command; acting on behalf of the IV Military Region Command, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Hai also presented a cash gift of 2 million VND and a gift from the District Military Command to Mr. Ho Xuan Nho, a disabled veteran (category 1/4) in Phuc Thanh Hamlet, Tien Thuy Commune.

Next, the delegation also visited and presented gifts to 7 individuals from the District Military Command, each gift including presents and cash worth 500,000 VND, to Mr. Le Van Hoa – a victim of Agent Orange in Block 6, Cau Giat town; Mr. Tran Van Trung – a disabled veteran (3/4) in Hamlet 9, Quynh Hong commune; Mrs. Ha Thi The – wife of a fallen soldier; Mr. Pham Van Tien – a disabled veteran (4/4) in Bac Thang village; Mr. Lo Van Xo – a disabled veteran (2/4) in Tan Thanh village; Mr. Lang Xuan Chinh – a disabled veteran (3/4) in Nam Viet village, Tan Thang commune; and Mr. Ha Van Cong – a disabled veteran (4/4) in Trung Tien village, Quynh Thang commune.

During his visit to present gifts to the families, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Hai – Deputy Political Commissar of the District Military Command – on behalf of the officers and soldiers of the District Military Command, extended heartfelt greetings, wished them good health, and expressed deep gratitude for the sacrifices and losses of the policy beneficiary families. He also hoped that the families would continue to live exemplary lives to encourage their children and grandchildren to strive for production development and build a prosperous and happy life.

COn the afternoon of July 24th, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Do Luong DistrictIn coordination with the Social Policy Bank of Nghia Dan district, we presented savings passbooks and gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the district.

Three savings passbooks, each worth 5 million VND, were handed over by the District Social Policy Bank to Heroic Vietnamese Mothers Tran Thi Trang in Hong Truong hamlet, Nghia Hong commune; Ngo Thi Tiep in Binh Hai hamlet, Nghia Binh commune; and Vo Thi Sau in hamlet 2B, Nghia An commune.
