According to the latest regulations, violations that result in point deductions or a score of 0 will cause candidates to fail the 2026 high school graduation exam.

According to the Regulations on the High School Graduation Examination issued with Circular 24/2024/TT-BGDĐT, candidates who violate the regulations in the examination room may be reprimanded, warned, have points deducted, or receive a score of 0 depending on the severity of the violation.

Violations will result in a 25% deduction from the exam score.

Candidates who receive a reprimand in any exam will have 25% of their total score for that exam deducted.

This form of disciplinary action applies to one-time violations such as looking at another student's paper or exchanging papers during the exam.

The decision to reprimand is recorded in a report by the invigilator and handled directly in the examination room.

Violators will have 50% of their test score deducted.

Candidates who receive a warning will have 50% of their total score deducted from the offending exam.

A warning will be issued if a student has already received a reprimand but continues to violate the rules during the same exam session.

In addition, behaviors such as exchanging assignments, exchanging draft papers, copying others' work, or allowing others to copy one's work will also be dealt with at the level of a warning.

The supervisor will draw up a report, along with any evidence, for processing according to regulations.

Cases that received a score of 0

Exams with personal markings that are discovered during the grading process will have 50% of their score deducted.

Candidates will receive a score of 0 if their exam paper is copied from unauthorized materials brought into the examination room.

Cases where there are two or more answer sheets for the same subject, or where the handwriting on the answer sheet is from two different people, will also be graded 0.

Assignments written on scrap paper or paper that does not meet the requirements will not be accepted.

Suspension from the exam will result in a score of 0.

Candidates who are suspended from any exam will receive a score of 0 for that exam and will not be allowed to continue participating in the remaining exams.

The decision to deduct points or award a score of 0 is made by the Head of the Examination Committee based on the written report from the essay grading team.
