Buddhist temples actively contribute to and support disease prevention and control efforts.
(Baonghean.vn) - In order to share the difficulties with the local authorities and people in preventing and controlling the Covid-19 epidemic, temples in the province continue to join hands in providing material support to centralized quarantine areas.
On the afternoon of April 5th, a Buddhist delegation from Ha Pagoda in Hung Tien commune, Nam Dan district, led by Venerable Thich Dong Tue, the pagoda's abbot, visited various units and quarantine areas at the Nam Dan District Military Command, the Military School of Military Region 4, and Nghe An College of Education to donate essential supplies such as rice, instant noodles, cooking oil, seasoning powder, vegetables, fruits, and medical supplies.

Earlier, a Buddhist delegation from Duc Hau Pagoda in Nghi An commune, Vinh City, led by Venerable Thich Dinh Tue - the pagoda's abbot, visited the headquarters of the Vinh City Fatherland Front Committee to donate 30 million VND to the Covid-19 prevention and control fund.
Representatives from Duc Hau Pagoda and Huong Sen Xu Nghe Buddhist group also visited and presented gifts to soldiers and those in quarantine at the Provincial Military Command, Regiment 764. There, the Buddhist delegation donated essential supplies (medical masks, drinking water, disinfectant) worth 25 million VND.

A Buddhist delegation from Phuc Lac Pagoda in Nghi Loc District, led by Venerable Thich Tam Thanh - Abbot of Phuc Lac Pagoda, visited the Covid-19 quarantine center at Vinh University's Campus II, which receives people returning from Laos. The pagoda donated essential supplies such as instant noodles and hand sanitizer to the center to help those in quarantine.

Recently, many temples in the province, including Dai Tue Temple (Nam Dan), Diec Temple (Vinh), Chi Linh Temple (Yen Thanh), Co Am Temple (Dien Chau), Pho Mon Temple (Vinh), and Can Mon Temple (Hoang Mai), have carried out practical activities to join hands with the community and share the difficulties with frontline forces and localities in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
