Pagodas actively contribute to support disease prevention
(Baonghean.vn) - In order to share the difficulties with the local authorities and people in preventing the Covid-19 epidemic, pagodas in the province continue to join hands to provide material support to concentrated quarantine areas.
On the afternoon of April 5, a Buddhist delegation from Ha Pagoda in Hung Tien Commune, Nam Dan District, led by Venerable Thich Dong Tue, abbot of the pagoda, visited units and quarantine areas at the Nam Dan District Military Command, Military School of Military Region 4, Nghe An Pedagogical College... to present some necessities such as rice, instant noodles, cooking oil, seasoning powder, vegetables, medical supplies...

Previously, a Buddhist delegation from Duc Hau Pagoda in Nghi An Commune, Vinh City, led by Venerable Thich Dinh Tue - abbot of the pagoda, went to the headquarters of the Vinh City Fatherland Front Committee to present gifts to support the Covid-19 epidemic prevention fund in the amount of 30 million VND.
Representatives of Duc Hau Pagoda and Huong Sen Xu Nghe Monastery also visited and presented gifts to soldiers and people quarantined at the Provincial Military Command, Regiment 764. Here, the Buddhist delegation presented some necessities (medical masks, drinking water, antiseptic solution) worth 25 million VND.

The Buddhist delegation of Phuc Lac Pagoda in Nghi Loc District, led by Venerable Thich Tam Thanh - Abbot of Phuc Lac Pagoda, visited the Covid-19 prevention and control quarantine area at Campus II - Vinh University, where people from Laos were received. Here, the pagoda donated some necessities such as instant noodles and antiseptic water for the center to serve the quarantined people.

Recently, many pagodas in the province: Dai Tue Pagoda (Nam Dan), Diec Pagoda (Vinh), Chi Linh Pagoda (Yen Thanh), Co Am Pagoda (Dien Chau), Pho Mon Pagoda (Vinh), Can Mon Pagoda (Hoang Mai) ... have all had practical activities to join hands with the community, share difficulties with frontline forces and localities in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.
