European countries will 'fight each other' over gas
(Baonghean.vn) - The competition between European countries for gas could lead to an energy shortage this winter - CNN wrote and at the same time predicted that there would be a "brawl" over green fuel.
Europeans have begun to scramble to buy liquefied natural gas (LNG), destabilizing the entire market. However, if EU countries manage to “significantly reduce” their dependence on Russian gas, global demand for the fuel will exceed supply by 26 million tonnes by the end of this year.

“By removing Russian gas, Europe has destabilized the entire global LNG market, which entered the new year in a precarious state after a volatile 2021,” said consultancy Rystad Energy.
“All the conditions have arisen that could lead to a situation of permanent supply shortages, high prices, strong volatility, and the intensification of gas geopolitics,” the report said.
The ones that will face the most serious consequences of the current situation may be the poorest economies in Asia, CNN concluded./.
