Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh, Mr. Ho Duc Phoc, and Mr. Bui Thanh Son were appointed Deputy Prime Ministers.
The National Assembly has passed a resolution approving the appointment of Politburo member and Central Committee Secretary Nguyen Hoa Binh; Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son as Deputy Prime Ministers for the 2021-2026 term.
At its 8th extraordinary session on August 26th, the National Assembly proceeded with the process of consolidating several positions, including approving the appointment of three Deputy Prime Ministers.
The National Assembly delegates approved the appointments of the three Deputy Prime Ministers through a secret ballot.
After completing the prescribed steps, the National Assembly discussed and voted to approve the Resolution ratifying the Prime Minister's proposal to appoint a Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term.
The individuals approved for appointment as Deputy Prime Ministers include: Politburo member and Central Committee Secretary Nguyen Hoa Binh; Central Committee member and Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc; and Central Committee member and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, with a vote of 432 out of 432 attending delegates in favor.
Following the reorganization, the Government leadership consists of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and five Deputy Prime Ministers: Tran Hong Ha, Le Thanh Long, Nguyen Hoa Binh, Ho Duc Phoc, and Bui Thanh Son.

Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh was born on May 4, 1958; his hometown is Hanh Duc commune, Nghia Hanh district, Quang Ngai province; his professional qualifications: Associate Professor, Doctor of Law, Public Security University.
He was a member of the 13th Politburo; Secretary of the 12th and 13th Central Committees (from April 2021); a member of the 11th, 12th, and 13th Central Committees; a member of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption; a member of the Central Steering Committee on Judicial Reform; and a Member of the National Assembly: 13th, 14th, and 15th terms.
He rose through the ranks of the Tam Ky District Police, Quang Nam-Da Nang province, in the 1980s.
Afterward, he spent time as a postgraduate student in the Soviet Union, then returned to Vietnam and held positions such as Deputy Head and Head of the Industrial Crime Investigation Department; Chairman of the Inspection Committee; Deputy Director and Director; Deputy Secretary and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Economic Police Department (C15); Deputy Director General and Deputy Head of the Police Investigation Agency, Ministry of Public Security, until early 2006.
Subsequently, he held various positions: Deputy Director General of the Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security, concurrently Director of the Anti-Corruption Investigation Police Department, Secretary of the Party Committee of C37, Standing Member of the Party Committee of the Police Department, and Deputy Head of the Police Investigation Agency, Ministry of Public Security.
In April 2008, he was appointed Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee (until May 2010) and later became the Provincial Party Secretary for over a year.
He was then elected by the National Assembly as the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy and held this position for nearly 5 years.
In April 2016, he was elected Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court by the National Assembly and has been re-elected to this position until now.

Mr. Ho Duc PhuocBorn on November 1, 1963; hometown: Quynh Thach commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province; professional qualification: Doctor of Economics.
He was a member of the Central Committee of the Party in the 12th and 13th terms; and a Member of the National Assembly in the 14th and 15th terms.
He rose through the ranks from chief accountant at a construction enterprise in his hometown of Quỳnh Lưu and previously served as chief accountant at the Construction and Installation Enterprise - Construction Company 7, and chief accountant at the Investment and Construction Project Management Board of Cửa Lò town, Nghệ An province.
He had a long association with his home province of Nghe An and held the following positions: Head of the Finance and Pricing Department of Cua Lo town; Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Cua Lo town; Deputy Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cua Lo town; Vice Chairman and then Chairman of the province, and served as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council of Nghe An from March 2013 to April 2016.
He then moved to the Central Committee and was elected by the National Assembly as the State Auditor General from April 2016 to April 2021.
He was then approved by the National Assembly to be appointed Minister of Finance, a position he holds to this day.

Mr. Bui Thanh SonBorn on October 16, 1962; hometown: Tay Mo Ward, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi City; professional qualification: Master of International Relations.
He served as a member of the Central Committee of the Party in the 12th and 13th terms; a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc; a member of the National Defense and Security Council (from April 2021); a second-rank Ambassador; and a member of the National Assembly in the 14th and 15th terms.
He joined the diplomatic service in February 1985 and worked as a specialist at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and as a specialist at the Institute of International Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the late 1980s.
He later worked as a specialist, Head of the European-American Studies Department, Chief of Staff, Assistant Deputy Director, and Deputy Director of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
From March 2000 to July 2003, he served as Counselor, Second Secretary, and Party Branch Secretary at the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore.
He then held the positions of Deputy Director and then Director of the Department of Foreign Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for five years.
Prior to becoming Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in November 2009, he served as Assistant Minister and Director of the Department of Foreign Policy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for over two years.
He was appointed as Permanent Deputy Minister from January 2016 to March 2021.
In April 2021, he was approved by the National Assembly to be appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs, a position he holds to this day.
