The entrance exam to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted gathers the best students of Nghe An province to compete for places in 15 specialized classes.

After the 10th grade entrance exam, this afternoon, candidates took part in the entrance examPhan Boi Chau High School for the Giftedwill start taking exams for specialized subjects. This year, the number of candidates taking the exam decreased by more than 400 students compared to the previous school year, helping to reduce the pressure on admission.

This candidate also shared that in grade 9, she won second prize in Literature at the Provincial Excellent Student Competition, so she hopes to develop her abilities to fulfill her dream of being admitted to the Literature class at the most prestigious school in the province.

Meanwhile, after taking the 10th grade entrance exam and predicting 25.5 points, candidate Truong Duc Hiep - Ha Huy Tap Secondary School (Vinh city) hopes he will do well in his specialized subjects to be admitted to the Russian specialized class.

This is also a specialized class with a high competition rate, so Hiep has focused on studying hard for the exam. This candidate also believes that whether he passes or not, this is an important exam and he will try his best to test his ability.

The entrance exam to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted is the exam with the highest competition rate in Nghe An province.

Specifically, according to the statistics, this year, the whole province has 1,730 students registered for NV1 and 1,050 students registered for NV2 in 15 specialized classes. Of which, the specialized class with the largest number of registered students is the Literature class with 322 applications. Next is the Math class with 270 applications, the Chemistry class and the English class with 159 applications. The remaining specialized classes, the Physics class has 131 applications, the Biology class has 117 applications, the Informatics class has 92 applications for the Informatics exam, and the Math class has 34 applications.

In the specialized language block, the specialized Chinese class has 85 applications, the specialized Russian class has 74 applications, the specialized Korean class has 58 applications, and the specialized Japanese class has 52 applications. Particularly for the specialized French class, there are 34 applications registered for the exam in English and 22 applications registered for the exam in French.

Candidates for Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted will take specialized subjects and base scores from the 10th grade entrance exam.

According to regulations, the scores of non-major exams are calculated with a coefficient of 1, the scores of specialized exams are calculated with a coefficient of 3. The time to do the specialized exam is 150 minutes.
