This candidate also shared that in 9th grade, she won second prize in Literature at the provincial excellent student competition, so she hopes to further develop her abilities to fulfill her dream of getting into the specialized Literature class at the most prestigious school in the province.

Meanwhile, after taking the 10th grade entrance exam and predicting a score of 25.5 points, candidate Truong Duc Hiep from Ha Huy Tap Secondary School (Vinh City) hopes to do well in his specialized subject to be admitted to the Russian language specialized class.
This specialized class also has a fairly high competition rate, so Hiep has been focusing on preparing for the exam thoroughly. This candidate also said that whether he gets accepted or not, this is an important exam and he will do his best to challenge his abilities.
The entrance exam for Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School has the highest competition rate in Nghe An province.
Specifically, according to compiled data, this year, the entire province has 1,730 students registering for their first choice and 1,050 students registering for their second choice in 15 specialized classes. Of these, the specialized class with the highest number of applicants is Literature with 322 applications. This is followed by Mathematics with 270 applications, and Chemistry and English with 159 applications each. For the remaining specialized classes, Physics has 131 applications, Biology has 117 applications, Informatics (with the Informatics exam) has 92 applications, and Mathematics (with the Mathematics exam) has 34 applications.
In the specialized language classes, the Chinese language class has 85 applications, the Russian language class has 74 applications, the Korean language class has 58 applications, and the Japanese language class has 52 applications. For the French language class, there are 34 applications to take the exam in English and 22 applications to take the exam in French.

Previously, the Provincial People's Committee issued a Decision on enrollment for 10th grade and enrollment at Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School for the 2025-2026 school year with 15 classes, including specialized classes in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, English, Japanese, Chinese, French, Russian, and Korean. The specialized Mathematics class will have two classes: Specialized Mathematics 1 and Specialized Mathematics 2.
This year's admissions plan has been adjusted compared to previous years, with only one specialized English class remaining. However, for the first time, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted is opening a specialized Korean language class. Each specialized class will have 35 students.
Candidates applying to Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School will take the specialized subject exam and base scores from the 10th grade entrance exam.
According to regulations, scores for non-specialized subjects are weighted 1, while scores for specialized subjects are weighted 3. The time allotted for the specialized subject exam is 150 minutes.
Candidates taking the specialized subject exams in Literature, History, Geography, English, French, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, and Informatics (exam in Informatics format) will take the exams at Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School.
Candidates taking specialized subjects: Mathematics, Informatics (exam in Mathematics), Physics, Chemistry, and Biology will take the exam at Huynh Thuc Khang High School.
