Subscribers whose lines have been blocked need to update their information before April 15th.

Following the directive from the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Information and Communications, telecommunications operators nationwide have implemented one-way blocking of outgoing calls for subscribers whose information has not been standardized since April 1st.

However, users don't need to worry too much because they can update their personal information to unlock the device one-way; the deadline for doing this is April 15th.

According to our reporter's observations, in recent days, at the transaction points of mobile network operators in Nghe An province such as VinaPhone, Viettel, MobiPhone, etc., the number of customers coming to standardize their personal information has shown no signs of decreasing. Among them, middle-aged and older customers make up the majority, as these are the customer groups who are not yet familiar with updating data through mobile phone applications.

Mr. Nguyen Van Long from Vinh City said: "Since April 1st, I haven't been able to call my family members. Upon inquiry, I learned that my SIM card had incorrect information and had been blocked for outgoing calls. Therefore, I had to go to the service center to ask the network provider's staff for assistance."

A representative from VNPT - VinaPhone in Nghe An province stated: From April 1st, the network has blocked outgoing calls for all subscribers whose personal information has not been properly verified in Nghe An. After being blocked, subscribers have proceeded to transaction points to update their information and complete the unlocking procedures. Therefore, the number of people coming to complete the procedures in recent days remains very high.

For subscribers whose lines are blocked, users should proactively text 1414 with the syntax TTTB to check if their subscriber information is correct, and then proactively update it or call the network's customer service number for assistance. After the one-way blocking, network providers will continue to assist customers in standardizing their subscriber information at transaction stores, on the network's applications and websites to have their lines unlocked according to regulations.

According to the Telecommunications Department (Ministry of Information and Communications), there are currently about 1.67 million SIM cards nationwide that are blocked for outgoing calls due to unstandardized personal information.
