Religious organizations congratulated Nghe An province on the successful conclusion of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, for the 2025-2030 term.

The Vinh Diocese delegation was led by Bishop Alphonsus Nguyen Huu Long, Bishop of the Vinh Diocese. The delegation from the Executive Board of the Buddhist Association of Nghe An province was led by Venerable Thich Tho Lac, Head of the Central Culture Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Association and Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Executive Board of the Buddhist Association of Nghe An province.

Receiving the delegations, on the side of the Nghe An provincial leadership were: Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; along with leaders of various departments and agencies.

Bishop Alphonsus Nguyen Huu Long - Bishop of the Vinh Diocese and Venerable Thich Tho Lac - Head of the Central Culture Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Association, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Buddhist Association of Nghe An Province, sent their best wishes to Nghe An Province for successfully organizing the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030; and congratulated the comrades elected to the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

Expressing his delight at the determination to build Nghe An into a prosperous province, a national-level growth pole, and a center of the North Central region in various fields, Bishop Alphonsus Nguyen Huu Long - Bishop of the Vinh Diocese - hoped and believed that under the leadership and guidance of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Board, Nghe An would achieve the above goals.

Bishop Alphonsus Nguyen Huu Long also extended his best wishes for good health, intellect, and dedication to the provincial leaders and all levels and sectors, so that they may successfully fulfill the noble task of building and developing Nghe An province to a new level, bringing happiness and prosperity to the people of the entire province.

Venerable Thich Tho Lac, Head of the Central Culture Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Association and Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Buddhist Association, expressed his confidence that the provincial leaders will lead Nghe An to continued development.

Venerable Thich Tho Lac stated that, over the years, the Executive Board of the Provincial Buddhist Association has always been a partner with the province, actively participating in charitable activities; at the same time, it will continue to propagate to monks, nuns, and Buddhists to strictly adhere to the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations, contributing to the development of Nghe An province and the spiritual and moral life of the people.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung expressed his emotion at welcoming the delegations from the two religions to congratulate them on the results of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, and respectfully thanked them for their kind congratulations; demonstrating the solidarity, unity, and close cooperation of religions in the province in the spirit of national unity, contributing to helping the province achieve its development goals.

Emphasizing that Nghe An province has received special attention from two religions in recent times, the Provincial Party Secretary stated that the positive and comprehensive results in various fields during the 2020-2025 term were significantly contributed to by the two religions: Catholicism and Buddhism.

Religions have truly embodied the spirit and principles of: "Living the Gospel in the heart of the nation," "Living a good life and upholding moral values," "Good Catholics are also good citizens," "Protecting the nation and ensuring the people's well-being," and "Religion - Nation - Socialism," contributing to the province's development.

Furthermore, religious organizations have actively participated in charitable and social welfare activities, contributing nearly 11 billion VND in the past period. This has helped many people affected by natural disasters to quickly overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives. Religious organizations have also integrated religious activities with cultural activities, contributing to improving the cultural life of the people.

Regarding the content and results of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung stated that, in the tasks and solutions for the next term in the field of culture, the province will correctly and effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws related to religion; develop the economy and infrastructure, and improve the lives of people in areas with religious communities.

The Provincial Party Secretary stated that the province's development goals for the new term are very high. These include an average GRDP growth rate of over 12%, a GRDP per capita of 165-190 million VND/person, and an average increase of 12% in budget revenue...

To achieve the above goal, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung stated that, in addition to the leadership, guidance, and management of Party committees and governments at all levels, and the efforts of the entire population and business community, he hopes to continue receiving the support of two religions: Catholicism and Buddhism.

Nghe An province continues to steadfastly and consistently implement the guidelines, policies, and principles on religion and belief; creating all favorable conditions and addressing the legitimate needs of the two religions so that their activities in the province achieve the set goals.
