Nghiêm's misconduct with Đức's girlfriend was exposed, causing Ngân to completely lose face in front of Viễn. Nghiêm showed no remorse and even threatened to sue, escalating the conflict to its peak.

In episode 19 of the series "One Millimeter Away From You," Ngan faces one of the most awkward and embarrassing situations when her husband Nghiem's behavior is exposed. Nghiem raped Duc's girlfriend right in his office at the research institute, an incident that completely humiliated Ngan in front of her close friends, especially Vien.
Viễn, who had never hidden his contempt for Nghiêm, confronted Ngân directly. He not only considered her husband incompetent but also a "traitor." This incident further reinforced Viễn's opinion, putting Ngân in an awkward position. He asked Ngân directly: "How do you intend to handle this? It's alright, I understand whatever you decide." The last straw
Viễn's contempt for Nghiêm was not unfounded. He always believed Nghiêm was incompetent both in ability and morality, and unworthy of Ngân. Previously, in order to maintain peace in the family and avoid pointless arguments stemming from Nghiêm's jealousy, Ngân had accepted stepping back and relinquishing her managerial role at Viễn's company.
