How I Am 1 Millimeter, Episode 24: Duc Breaks Up Because of Betrayal
In episode 24, Duc decides to end his relationship with Nga after discovering her false testimony. At the same time, Ngan returns to confront Nghiem and his schemes.
Episode 24 of the series "One Millimeter Away From You" witnesses significant developments in relationships. Duc decides to break up with Nga after discovering she lied to the police, while Ngan faces her scheming husband, Nghiem, after a drunken episode.
Germany ended the relationship due to a loss of trust.
Duc learned that Nga had told the police that he beat Nghiem out of jealousy. This statement completely changed the nature of the incident, putting Duc at a disadvantage and potentially facing legal consequences, while Nghiem became the victim.
When questioned by Germany, Nga explained tearfully that she did it because she wanted a stable, secure life. "I just want a life that's as secure as possible... I'm afraid people will bully me, trample on me, so... I have to take care of myself because no one else will," Nga said.
However, Duc couldn't accept this reason and felt betrayed. "So you'd rather send me to jail than lose your graduation certificate, Nga?", he said, expressing his fear at her actions. Ultimately, Duc decided to end the relationship: "From now on, it's better if we don't see each other anymore."
Despite Nga's attempts to win him back, including contacting Duc's mother, she couldn't change his decision. Duc insisted that the breakup had nothing to do with anyone else and asked Nga not to involve Tu in the matter.
Ngan faces a manipulative husband.
After drinking with Tú and Thư to vent her disappointment with Nghiêm, Ngân sobered up and decided to return home. She had to confront Nghiêm, her husband whose schemes and manipulations she had discovered.
Nghiêm showed concern and thoughtfulness when cooking pho for Ngân, but his words were full of hidden meanings. He simultaneously expressed sympathy for her spending the night away from home for the first time since their marriage, while also reminding her that they needed to have a serious talk. To Ngân, Nghiêm's feigned kindness at this moment filled her with disgust.
In Ngan's mind, Nghiem's words still echoed: "If we have to go to court for divorce, I can't leave empty-handed." This shows that she is facing a complex psychological battle and has not yet found a suitable way to handle it.
