This is only the number of vehicles that have been overdue for inspection for more than 30 days. If we count the number of vehicles that have been overdue for inspection (from the point of being fined), the number is much higher. According to the Department of Registration, if these vehicles continue to be used on the road, they will potentially cause a very high number of accidents.

In addition, up to now, the country has 186,883 cars that have expired, of which 138,510 are cargo vehicles and 48,373 are passenger vehicles. The number of "over-age" cars recorded in 2017 was 24,264, of which 21,651 are cargo vehicles and 2,613 are passenger vehicles.

Therefore, this unit has published the list of expired vehicles and vehicles with expired inspection on the Department's website so that authorities and people can look up and make statistics 24/7. At the same time, the Department has sent the list to the Traffic Police Department (C67), periodically reporting to the National Traffic Safety Committee and provinces for direction and control.

The Registry Department also requested the People's Committees of localities to direct competent authorities to increase patrols, control, and strictly handle vehicle owners and drivers who put expired vehicles or vehicles with expired inspections on the road.
