Galaxy A57 and A37 camera specifications leaked: Are the upgrades significant?
The latest leaks suggest that the Galaxy A57 will not have many changes to its camera, while the Galaxy A37 is expected to have improvements to its main sensor.
Detailed camera specifications of the Galaxy A37 and A57
According to the latest leaks, Samsung doesn't seem to be bringing many groundbreaking improvements to the camera system on the upcoming Galaxy A37 and A57. Recent reports have revealed details of the camera specifications for these two mid-range phones.
Galaxy A57: Minor tweaks on a familiar platform.
The Galaxy A57 is rumored to feature a 50MP main camera using a Sony IMX906 sensor. Notably, some markets may receive a version with a 50MP ISOCELL GNJ sensor instead, although both sensors share the same 1/1.56-inch size. The rear camera system also includes a 13MP ISOCELL S5K3L6 ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5MP macro camera. On the front, it is expected to use a 12MP ISOCELL S5K3LC sensor for selfies.

Galaxy A37: Notable upgrade in the main sensor.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy A37 is expected to have more significant upgrades. Specifically, it is anticipated to feature a Sony IMX906 main camera, accompanied by an 8MP Samsung GC08A3 ultra-wide camera and a 5MP macro camera. The front camera will have a resolution of 12MP. The inclusion of a new and larger main sensor promises to improve light capture and overall image quality compared to its predecessor.

Samsung's hardware strategy
Overall, the Galaxy A57's camera system doesn't show many major changes, while the Galaxy A37 demonstrates more noticeable improvements. This reflects Samsung's strategy of gradually upgrading hardware, focusing on software optimization rather than a specifications race. For example, the upcoming Galaxy S26 series is also rumored to retain a similar camera system to the Galaxy S23. Nevertheless, users can still expect the Galaxy A37 and A57 to deliver a better photography experience thanks to improvements in image processing algorithms.
