Galaxy Z Fold8 Camera: Upgraded Telephoto and Ultrawide Sensors Revealed
Leaked information suggests that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 will have notable camera improvements, focusing on a 12MP telephoto sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
According to a new leak, Samsung is reportedly preparing significant upgrades to the camera system on the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold8 foldable phone. These improvements build upon the upgrades already seen on the Galaxy Z Fold7, focusing on enhancing the capabilities of the telephoto and ultra-wide lenses.

Upgrades for telephoto and ultra-wide-angle lenses.
According to a source from GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Z Fold8 may inherit some technology from the high-end Galaxy S series. Specifically, the telephoto camera is expected to be upgraded from 10MP to 12MP, while retaining 3x optical zoom. This is likely the same sensor that will be used on the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
More notably, the ultra-wide-angle camera is said to have a significant leap in resolution, increasing from 12MP in the previous generation to 50MP. If this information is accurate, this would be a major improvement, promising to deliver significantly more detailed and sharper wide-angle photos.
The components remain unchanged.
Besides the upgrades, some components of the camera system are expected to remain unchanged. The Galaxy Z Fold8 is expected to retain the same 200MP main camera and 10MP selfie camera as the Galaxy Z Fold7.
Additionally, the source also mentioned that the under-display camera will not reappear on this model. If these leaks are true, the Galaxy Z Fold8 will offer a more comprehensive and premium photography experience for users in the foldable phone segment.
