Over the past period, the Vinh City Youth Union has played a pioneering role, implementing many effective movements, models, and approaches such as:"Young people in Vinh City exemplify the practice of urban culture"; "Meals of compassion"; "Bowls of porridge of love"; "Car wash for fundraising";""Warm Winter - Volunteer Spring"; "Volunteer Saturday"; "Green Sunday"...

During the 2014-2019 term, young people across the city distributed more than 15,000 free meals and porridge to poor patients;organization14 free medical examinations, treatments, and medication distribution sessions were conducted for over 3,000 patients in remote, disadvantaged, and special areas, with a total value exceeding 900 million VND...

The targets set by the Congress for the 2014-2019 term have been largely achieved.The youth solidarity front has been expanded, the role and position of the City Youth Union have been increasingly strengthened, and the Union's activities have gradually met the legitimate needs and aspirations of young people...

At the Congress, delegates heard reports on the results of the Youth Union's work and youth movement during the 2014-2019 term and the direction and tasks for 2019-2024; a review report of the Vinh City Youth Union, 4th term, 2014-2019; and a summary of contributions and discussions on some key issues for the next term.

Speaking at the Congress, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and President of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, Chu Duc Thai, highly appreciated the activities of the Youth Union and the youth movement during the 2014-2019 term.

At the same time, Comrade Chu Duc Thai suggested that in the coming period, each Youth Union and Association official should enhance their responsibility in mobilizing and disseminating information among union members, young people, and the community. Particular attention should be paid to disseminating information, educating, and raising awareness among young people through social media; promptly commending advanced models and exemplary individuals to create a ripple effect; and identifying the key priorities and focal points of work for each locality and unit in each stage, linked to the city's top goal of building a civilized urban environment...

The Congress elected 33 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union of Vinh City, 5th term, 2019-2024. The Congress also agreed to send a delegation of 10 comrades to attend the higher-level congress.

On this occasion, the Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union awarded the Emulation Flag to the Vinh City Youth Union Committee "for outstanding achievements in Youth Union work and youth movements during the 2019-2024 term". The Nghe An Provincial Youth Union Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 7 individuals for outstanding achievements in Youth Union work and youth movements during the 2014-2019 term.

Also as part of the program, the Vinh City Youth Union and the Vinh City Federation of Youth Associations honored 20 outstanding Youth Volunteers for the period 2014-2019.
