Official arrested for forging district leader's signature
Long forged the signatures of district leaders to grant construction permits to many households, collecting one million dong for each application.
Tinh Gia District Police (Thanh Hoa) has just arrested Nguyen Duy Long (26 years old) - a contract worker at the Traffic Department of Tinh Gia District - to investigate the crime of forging seals and documents of agencies and organizations.

Previously, through the inspection of documents related to construction licensing in the area, the People's Committee of Tinh Gia district discovered that the construction permits of many households showed signs of being forged, so they requested the district police to investigate.
Examining the seal and signature, the authorities concluded that the seal in the file was the seal of the District People's Committee, but the signature was forged.
Nguyen Duy Long was accused of forging these documents. He said that taking advantage of the people's need to apply for a construction permit, Long introduced himself as an official of the district People's Committee, who was able to bribe his way through the procedures.
From February 2018 until his arrest, this male officer forged construction permits for 10 households. For each file, Long received from 500 to 1 million VND.
