Previously, during an inspection of construction permit records in the area, the People's Committee of Tinh Gia district discovered that the construction permits of many households showed signs of forgery, so they requested the district police to investigate.
After examining the seal and signature, the authorities concluded that the seal in the file was that of the District People's Committee, but the signature was forged.
Nguyen Duy Long is accused of forging these documents. He confessed that, taking advantage of people's need for construction permits, he introduced himself as an official of the District People's Committee and claimed he could arrange the procedures.
From February 2018 until his arrest, this male official forged construction permits for 10 households. For each application, Long received between 500,000 and one million dong.
