A closer look at the new Citizen Promaster Marine: A breakthrough with the Caliber E118 and biomaterials.
The Citizen Promaster Marine 2026 diving watch line stands out thanks to its new generation Eco-Drive movement, which allows for a power reserve of up to one year, along with a 40.6mm steel case and a durable BENEBIOL bracelet.
Citizen has officially refreshed its iconic Promaster Marine diving watch line with four diverse color variations. The most significant highlight of this launch is the introduction of the new generation Eco-Drive Caliber E118 movement, promising significant improvements in energy efficiency and dial aesthetics.

Upgraded Eco-Drive Caliber E118 movement: Double the performance.
At the heart of the new Promaster Marine line is the Eco-Drive Caliber E118 movement. This represents a significant technological advancement over previous generations. Eco-Drive technology is renowned for its ability to convert light into electrical energy, but in the Caliber E118, its efficiency has been optimized to an exceptional degree.
Specifically, the power reserve after a full charge has been increased from 6 months to approximately 1 year. Notably, thanks to higher energy conversion efficiency, Citizen can use more sensitive photovoltaic panels under the dial. This allows the company to design dials with more vibrant colors and higher saturation without affecting the watch's battery charging capability.

Compact and ergonomic case design
Instead of following the trend of large diving watches, Citizen chose a 40.6mm size for its stainless steel case. This is the "golden" size suitable for most wrists, creating a balance between underwater visibility and everyday comfort. With a thickness of only 11.7mm, this watch easily fits under a shirt cuff.
In terms of specialized features, all four versions maintain the stringent standards of a Diver's Watch: a unidirectional rotating bezel, water resistance to 200 meters, and Type 1 magnetic resistance. The date window is positioned at the familiar 3 o'clock mark.

BENEBiOL biomaterial is environmentally friendly.
Another innovative feature lies in the urethane strap. Citizen uses BENEBiOL™, a plant-derived bioplastic developed by Mitsubishi Chemical Group. This material not only helps reduce the carbon footprint but also boasts high mechanical strength and excellent resistance to seawater and UV rays.
