Speaking to reporters, athlete Nguyen Ngoc Tuyen said that he was one of the first people in Nghe An to take up pickleball, after having played many other sports such as table tennis, tennis, and badminton. Photo: Duc Anh

Nguyen Ngoc Tuyen shared: “We were pioneers in bringing this sport to our locality about two years ago. Since then, pickleball has developed very rapidly, not only in Nghe An but also nationwide.” Evaluating this year's tournament, the player believes the quality of the athletes has improved significantly. “This year's tournament brings together nearly 400 athletes, with almost 30 pairs in the event I'm participating in. The skill level is more evenly matched this year, promising more exciting matches than last season,” said Nguyen Ngoc Tuyen. Photo: Duc Anh

Not only impressed by the professional aspects, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuyen also highly appreciated the organization. “The tournament was large-scale, well-organized, and had good media coverage. In particular, the connection between the tournament and social welfare activities made us very grateful,” he added.
