At the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, Ferrari unveiled its most anticipated supercar of the year, the 812 Superfast. |
| This "supercar" is an upgraded version of the F12 Berlinetta, a model that is already very familiar to Vietnamese car enthusiasts. |
| What excites many fans of the "prancing horse" is the 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, which has been retuned to deliver a maximum power of 789 horsepower. |
With these specifications, the 812 Superfast becomes Ferrari's fastest and most powerful production supercar to date. |
Furthermore, its 789 horsepower makes the Ferrari 812 Superfast a formidable opponent to the Lamborghini Aventador S LP740-4, which also participated in the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, as it is 49 horsepower more powerful. |
| Specifically, the Ferrari 812 Superfast uses a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, producing a maximum power of 789 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 718 Nm at 7,000 rpm. |
The engine allows this supercar to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 340 km/h. |
To achieve such incredible power, Ferrari has implemented a series of upgrades and improvements to the engine, such as a direct fuel injection system combined with applications of F1 racing technology. In addition, the dual-clutch transmission has also been upgraded to reduce shift times. |
In terms of safety, the 812 Superfast boasts a host of completely new technologies such as the 5th generation SSC traction control system, the 2nd generation rear-wheel steering system, all-wheel drive, and the first electric power steering (EPS) system ever fitted to a Ferrari supercar. |
| Despite being equipped with numerous safety technologies and undergoing significant design changes, the Ferrari 812 Superfast's weight remains the same at 1,525 kg, similar to the F12 Berlinetta. The weight distribution is 47/53. |
In terms of design, the Ferrari 812 Superfast impresses with its completely redesigned headlights/taillights and front/rear bumpers. The headlight cluster features LED technology combined with air intakes to enhance aerodynamics. |
Furthermore, the Ferrari 812 Superfast now features a new red exterior paint color called Rosso Settanta, instead of the familiar Rosso Corsa. This paint scheme commemorates the 70th anniversary of the Italian supercar manufacturer. |
Inside the cockpit, the Ferrari 812 Superfast features a redesigned instrument cluster, steering wheel, and center console that are more driver-focused. |
The Ferrari 812 Superfast features a matte gray exterior paired with a cream-colored interior. |
And with a new red exterior color called Rosso Settanta, the car's interior features a black color scheme with red accents and carbon fiber. There is currently no official price for the Ferrari 812 Superfast. |
