After launching the E63 AMG sports sedan version of the new generation E-Class, Mercedes continues to "unveil" the Mercedes-AMG E63 Wagon.
| Last November, the new generation Mercedes-AMG E63 Sedan was first unveiled, based on the W213 generation E-Class. Following this, the Mercedes-AMG E63 Wagon, with its 5-door wagon body style, has just been announced by the German luxury car manufacturer. |
| Similar to the E63 AMG Sedan, the E63 AMG Wagon version also features similar interior changes, a sporty body kit, a hood with more pronounced creases, a nearly 3 cm wider body, attractive alloy wheels, and air vents on either side of the front bumper. |
| The biggest difference between this car and the sedan version is the roofline that extends all the way to the rear, creating a 5-door wagon design. As a result, the E63 AMG Wagon's luggage compartment is also more spacious, reaching 670 liters and expandable to a maximum of 1820 liters with the rear seats folded flat. |
| Inside the cabin, the E63 AMG Wagon has a design and features similar to other high-end E-Class versions. Differences include sport pedals and steering wheel, carbon fiber trim, sport seats, and two 12.3-inch dual display screens with an added sport driving mode featuring a red background. |
| Like other Mercedes-AMG 63 models, the new E63 AMG is also equipped with a 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with two power levels: 563 hp/750 Nm in the standard E63 and increased to 604 hp/850 Nm in the E63S. |
| All versions feature 4MATIC all-wheel drive and a 9-speed Speedshift automatic transmission, allowing them to reach a top speed of 250 km/h. However, due to the power difference, the E63S version takes only 3.5 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 km/h, while the regular E63 takes 3.6 seconds. |
| Despite its powerful engine, the E63 AMG Wagon still boasts relatively low fuel consumption thanks to cylinder deactivation technology. In addition to the upgraded powertrain, the car also features electronic power steering, optional ceramic-carbon brakes, a sport air suspension system, and more. |
| Currently, Mercedes has not announced the price of the new E63 AMG Wagon. The car will officially debut to the public at the Geneva Motor Show in early March 2017. |
