Bridge foundation crane catches fire during the night.

(Baonghean.vn) - At approximately 9:30 PM on September 23rd, a crane working on the foundation of the overpass under construction at Cau Giat Intersection, located in Block 1, Cau Giat town, Quynh Luu district, suddenly caught fire.

Residents near the scene of the fire said that at the time of the incident, they suddenly saw the crane where the hydraulic machine was located burst into flames. Despite the heavy rain, people ran through the rain shouting for help to put out the fire.

However, because the fire occurred at a high altitude and the flames were burning fiercely, manual attempts to extinguish it were ineffective.

Workers are cleaning up the scene of the fire.

The fire was only brought under control when fire trucks from Hoang Mai town arrived. The estimated damage is in the billions of dong.

The initial cause of the fire is believed to be an electrical short circuit. The incident is currently under investigation by the authorities.
