We need to revive the "cauldron" of Vinh City.

(Baonghean.vn) - With the desire to further professionalize the cheering activities at stadiums on a nationwide scale, on the afternoon of February 6th, the SLNA Supporters' Association held a meeting to discuss restructuring the organization's personnel.

Attending the meeting on behalf of the club were: Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh - General Director and President of SLNA Club, Mr. Ho Van Chiem - Executive Director of SLNA Club, and Head Coach of SLNA Nguyen Duc Thang.

The meeting revolved around the topic of strengthening the fan club in Vinh to become the core of support in the stands, especially in section B of Vinh Stadium. The club's goal is to "reignite" the passion of Coach Nguyen Duc Thang's team and bring back fans to Vinh Stadium – which has lost its enthusiasm in the last two seasons.

In 2016, the SLNA Supporters' Club had not yet re-elected its Executive Committee to oversee the northern regions and Nghe An province, so its activities were not yet well-organized and it was not truly a leading force for the fans in the stadium.

However, 2016 also marked a significant development for the Association when it established a reliable online information platform, with its main communication channel, slnafc.com, becoming fully operational under the management of SLNA Club officials.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh stated the club's stance on fans: "Spectators are an asset of the team. Therefore, attracting fans to the stadium is the team's top priority. Since 2017, in my capacity as General Director, I have affirmed that no tickets will be sold for each match at Vinh Stadium; sections C and D of the stands will be open to the public for free entry. For section B, we will create the best conditions for fans to come and watch the match live and support the team. Members of the Supporters' Club will receive free tickets and other benefits to revive the 'fiery atmosphere' of Vinh."

Mr. Tran Huu Thuat, Chairman of the Supporters' Association, said: "This year we will implement many plans to create a unique cheering culture in the stands that reflects the identity of Nghe An football and is a shared pride for all football fans nationwide."

The meeting outlined many strategies and made significant personnel changes, creating a new atmosphere in the stands from the fans' perspective. The SLNA Supporters' Club will have the opportunity to implement these new plans in the V-League Round 5 match on February 12, 2017, when SLNA plays Quang Nam.
