In two days, the entrance exam for 10th grade in the 2026-2027 school year will officially take place in Nghe An. Facing the pressure of a high number of candidates, examination centers are urgently completing the final preparations.

Meanwhile, the school only has 540 available places, making it one of the years with the highest number of applicants. According to the school's summary, unlike previous years, the majority of applicants this year are from the local area. In contrast, only about 20 students come from other regions such as Hung Nguyen and the former Vinh City. This indicates that the Department of Education and Training's decision not to allow students to adjust their preferences after the exam has significantly impacted the students' decision to apply. dsc09964(1).jpg — In Nghe An province this year, 49,372 out of 56,504 ninth-grade students registered to take the tenth-grade entrance exam at 69 examination centers located in public schools throughout the province. Despite an increase of nearly 10,000 candidates, an earlier exam date (9 days earlier), and a close proximity to the high school graduation exam, preparations at the examination sites are now largely complete. During the implementation process, the Department of Education and Training also requested localities and schools to prepare contingency plans for situations such as intense heat, heavy rain, flash floods, and students needing medical assistance or emergency care due to health issues, in order to ensure the smooth running of the exam. Furthermore, they need to identify students with particularly difficult circumstances to advise the Party committee and government on measures to support them during the exams; and proactively arrange accommodation and meals for students from distant areas and for invigilators.
