The rural power grid needs repair and upgrading.
(Baonghean.vn) - Upgrading the rural power grid; policies and regulations for social organizations; the widespread use of pesticides; and the inadequacies in paying benefits under Decree 67 through the post office... were among the issues raised by voters at the meeting of provincial People's Council representatives in Tan Phu and Nghia Hanh communes, Tan Ky district.
On August 23, 2016, delegates of the 17th Provincial People's Council, including Mr. Tang Ngoc Tuan - Director of the Provincial People's Procuracy; Ms. Thai Thi An Chung - Deputy Head of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Pham Van Hoa - Chairman of the Tan Ky District People's Committee; and Ms. Lang Thi Hoai - Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Hop commune, Tan Ky district, held a meeting with voters from Tan Phu and Nghia Hanh communes, Tan Ky district.

During the meeting, voters from the two communes heard a report on the main contents of the 2nd session of the 17th Provincial People's Council; the socio-economic development, national defense and security situation in the first six months of the year, the key tasks for the last six months of 2016, and made recommendations on several issues such as: the low level of policies and benefits for social organizations and village officials; some companies exploiting the name of charity to sell goods in rural areas; the widespread use of pesticides affecting the environment; the inadequacy of payments under Decree 67 through the post office, causing difficulties for eligible recipients; some pesticide warehouses in Tan Phu commune causing environmental and water pollution; many rural power lines deteriorating and posing safety risks to the power grid...

On behalf of the provincial People's Council delegation, Mr. Pham Van Hoa, Chairman of the Tan Ky District People's Committee, explained the issues within his authority and promised to convey the concerns and aspirations of the voters to the relevant agencies for consideration and resolution.
