Canada has 'emptied its coffers' in order to provide aid to Ukraine.
(Baonghean.vn) - According to RIA Novosti on March 29, when asked about providing further military support to Ukraine, Canadian Defence Minister Bill Blair told the Globe & Mail that Ottawa had "cleared its stockpile." Blair added that Canada no longer has artillery shells or anti-aircraft missiles.

According to Canadian Defence Minister Bill Blair, he recently agreed with his Ukrainian counterparts that Canada will purchase drones and deliver them to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Minister Blair added that it would take at least two years to restore Canada's industrial base.
Furthermore, military sources told the Globe & Mail that Canadian generals want to continue supporting Ukraine, but fear that if crucial equipment has already been delivered to Kyiv, further aid may never be provided.
A Globe & Mail war correspondent visited Ukraine in early March 2024 and reported that, according to Ukrainian military accounts, they were much closer to defeat than Kyiv's allies thought.
According to RT, former French NATO General Jerome Pellistrandi, in an interview with the French newspaper La Depeche on March 27, indicated that the Russian Armed Forces have made significant progress since Ukraine withdrew its troops from the Avdeevka stronghold in eastern Ukraine in mid-February 2024. Russian troops are now approaching Chasov Yar and Kharkov.
"In fact, Russia has presented a tactical dilemma for the Ukrainian command, forcing Kyiv to choose between defending its territory against the risk of significant losses, or withdrawing and abandoning the territory," former NATO General Pellistrandi stated, adding that this is a "trap" that Moscow has set for Kyiv.
