Nghe Tinh Port welcomes the first shipment of 2018.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 1st, Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company held a ceremony to welcome the first shipment of 2018 with many good hopes. Attending the event were representatives from the Vietnam Maritime Corporation, leaders and numerous staff and workers of Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company, along with many employees and representatives of customers.

In 2017, the total volume of goods handled through Nghe Tinh port was 3.5 million tons, an increase of 109% compared to the plan and 112% compared to the same period last year, with total revenue reaching 165 billion VND.

Over the past year, 100% of the workers at Nghe Tinh Port have had regular employment with an income of over 8 million VND per month.

In 2018, Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company aims to achieve a cargo throughput of over 3.4 million tons, revenue of 160 billion VND, and a profit of 26 billion VND.

In addition, the unit continues to improve its management capacity, invest in facilities, and promote technical innovation initiatives, focusing on training and upgrading the skills of its employees, and further strengthening quality management according to TCVN ISO 9001-2015 standards, aiming to gradually improve management and competitiveness.

Given the difficulties and challenges ahead in the coming year, the leadership of Nghe Tinh Port has determined that it must prioritize customers, focus on providing excellent services, invest in modern equipment, operate more professionally and efficiently, and always find solutions to lower product costs to remain competitive and attract new cargo to the port.

Regarding production expansion, last year Nghe Tinh Port invested over 100 billion VND to ensure timely loading and unloading operations, meeting customer expectations.

In particular, the Port is applying a quality management system according to TCVN ISO 9001-2015, so all production and business activities of the Company are carried out according to scientific and efficient processes.

Speaking at the port, Mr. Nguyen Van Hanh - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Maritime Corporation, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company - highly appreciated the efforts of Nghe Tinh Port in the past year and expressed his hope that the Nghe Tinh Port team would work together, overcome difficulties, be creative, and excellently fulfill the assigned tasks in the coming year.
