Warning of fake train ticket scam

The railway industry recommends that people do not buy tickets through "brokers", "black markets", outside stations, non-railway websites, or disguised agents.

According to the leader of Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company, recently discovered a number of fake train boarding passes that passengers bought through brokers, the information of full name and passenger ID number on the pass is not on the electronic ticketing system of the railway industry. These train passes are invalid, passengers will not be able to board the train.

Specifically, on December 11 and 12, passengers came to Saigon station to check 08 train boarding passes. Saigon Railway Transport Branch checked and discovered that these boarding passes had incorrect passenger name and ID number information compared to the railway industry's electronic ticketing system. The boarding passes were printed on A4 paper, the card form was very similar to the railway industry's form.

To ensure the rights of passengers, Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company recommends that people do not buy tickets through brokers, black markets, outside stations, non-railway websites, or disguised agents that will cause financial damage to passengers and prevent them from traveling by train.

“Passengers who have not been able to purchase tickets should visit the official ticket sales website of Vietnam Railways Corporation athttp://dsvn.vnor at stations, ticket sales points, and the Company's agents to book tickets, find out information about train times, ticket prices, and some other regulations," the leader of Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company emphasized.

In particular, when purchasing tickets, passengers must present full and valid identification documents; train passengers must have a valid "train boarding pass" and have personal information that matches the information on the card to be able to board the train.
