Warning to Vice Chairman of Phan Thiet City for advising on granting land to father

News from the Central Inspection Commission has just announced that on November 1, the Inspection Commission of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee has disciplined Mr. Dang Dinh Hieu - Vice Chairman of Phan Thiet City People's Committee with a warning.

Mr. Dang Dinh Hieu was assigned to be directly in charge of the land sector, knew the policy and subjects allowed to buy land in Tien Thanh residential area, Tien Loi commune, knew that his father did not have a permanent residence in Phan Thiet city but directly raised the issue with the chairman of the city People's Committee so that his father could be allocated 150 square meters of residential land in Tien Thanh residential area, Tien Loi commune, not the correct subject according to the regulations of Phan Thiet city People's Committee.

Regarding this incident, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee also decided to reprimand the following: Do Ngoc Diep - Chairman of the City People's Committee; Dang Thanh Tan - Chairman of the City Farmers' Association, former head of the City Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Tran Ngoc Thuan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Thuy Ward, Phan Thiet City.

Mr. Do Ngoc Diep, Dang Thanh Tan, and Tran Ngoc Thuan, with their assigned duties and responsibilities, were irresponsible in confirming the minutes verifying the residence of Mr. Hieu's father and confirming the application for land use fee reduction under the policy that was not true; advising, proposing to the City People's Committee, directing and signing the decision to allocate 150m2 of land to Mr. Hieu's father.

The Inspection Committee of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee determined that the above violations affected the implementation of housing and land policies of Phan Thiet City People's Committee, caused negative public opinion, and affected the personal reputation of the above-mentioned officials.
