(Baonghean.vn) - In recent years, social networks in Vietnam have developed explosively. Names such as Facebook, Zalo, Tiktok, Youtube have become familiar in life. According to statistics, as of June 2021 by NapoleonCat (a statistical tool that monitors social network indicators), the total number of Facebook users in Vietnam isnearly 76 million peopleThis number accounts formore than 70% of the country's population, an increase of 31 million users compared to 2019 and still ranked No. 1 among popular social networks in Vietnam.
Taking advantage of the popularity of Facebook, hostile forces and extremist and opposing elements have stepped up their sabotage with increasingly sophisticated and cunning forms and content. In particular, since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, people have tended to use social networks more, leading to the emergence of increasingly dense toxic information.
Currently, on Facebook's video system (Watch), there are dozens of information channels that regularly post information.video clip with hot, sensitive content. Hidden behind those videos is a plot to sabotage, discredit the Party and State, and harm national unity. These channels thoroughly exploit the country's political and social events to edit articles, use artificial intelligence (AI) to convert text into voice, and then cut and paste images from the internet to stage video clips. Channels such as 'America is Back', 'Voice of America', 'Truth 24'... regularly stage and post video clips about the political and social situation in Vietnam. In them, they use many disrespectful and satirical words and slangs towards the leaders of the Party and State.

Many malicious video channels are active on social media. |
More dangerously, they link unrelated events together to distort, defame, and discredit organizations and individuals. For example, the case related to Van Thinh Phat was distorted with a business trip of high-ranking leaders; the case related to rescue flights with personnel organization work... Along with that, they thoroughly exploit lawsuits, long-standing cases, or cases of dissatisfaction to create anti-government content.
More subtly, in many videos, they do not directly criticize or express their opinions but use "tricks" to provoke and attract viewers. For example: After distorting a land case, they ask questions at the end of the clip: "In your opinion, is the government right?", "Is the law wrong or are the people wrong?" or "Can such a law protect the people?"... This is a very dangerous trick, it makes viewers have an unsympathetic attitude towards the way the authorities handle each case. "Slow and steady wins the race", many clips like this make viewers suspicious, lose faith in the legal system; thereby eroding trust in the Party...
To sabotage, hostile forces do not hesitate to use any tricks. They thoroughly cut and paste unrelated images tojuggle with facts; ready to infringe on the copyright of images and content of Vietnamese newspapers and magazines to edit the content to blacken and tarnish the image of our country. Particularly dangerous is that recently, they have created video clips that seem to praise the regime and the Party, but insert between the clips many distorted contents, lowering the prestige of our Party and State. This is a sinister trick to avoid Vietnam's cyber security forces but still attract viewers.

It must be admitted that these subjects are very knowledgeable in staging video clips to attract viewers. The graphic forms and special effects are used in a variety of ways to create a sense of freshness. Their video production speed is also very fast. As soon as the domestic press publishes an article about an event, after only a few dozen minutes, distorted videos and conflicting comments appear on social networks. From there, they share and spread through groups and associations with increasing density.
Currently, hostile forces are tending to link social networks to sabotage with high intensity. Malicious videos on Facebook's Watch system are uploaded to Tiktok, Youtube, Instagram, etc. to reach more viewers. Therefore, everyone needs to be highly vigilant with these types of video clips, and need to be alert to filter information when watching and sharing. Authorities need to have more effective measures to prevent the spread of malicious videos on social networks.
