(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, a group led by Le Van Phuc (a Vietnamese-American) has been promoting on social media their miraculous ability to transmit cosmic energy to cure all diseases. In Nghe An province, similar groups and associations focused on cosmic energy have also begun to emerge.

Transmitting energy from outer space (?!)

"Cosmic Radiant Energy" or "Bronze Drum Energy" (collectively referred to as root energy) was founded by Le Van Phuc. According to information from the book "Stem Cells - Your Great Physician," one of the three books that the founding group of root energy sold to students we were able to contact, Le Van Phuc was born in 1956 in Phuoc Ly hamlet, Dai Phuoc commune, Nhon Trach district, Bien Hoa province, now Dong Nai province.

To create a sense of closeness with his students, Le Van Phuc always referred to himself as "uncle" during his classes. This is even explained in the book as follows: "Mr. Le Van Phuc never desired or considered himself a teacher, but rather thought of himself as a 'connector,' so he always referred to himself as 'uncle' to his students and wanted them to call him Uncle Phuc."

To add to the mystery, just like in those casessuddenly acquired supernatural abilities after a serious illness.Stories about surviving lightning strikes or rabies bites have emerged in recent years; the Root Energy group has also fabricated a story that no one can verify. Specifically, they claim, "In 1978, my family immigrated to the United States. Twenty-five years ago, after a near-fatal illness, I was cured by energy transmission. Then, on the night of September 21, 2009, by chance, I met a special teacher. Since then, he has taught me for five years, imparting much knowledge about Root Energy and its applications..."

In 2016, Le Van Phuc returned to Vietnam and began teaching his first students in Dong Nai province. He repeatedly sought to obtain operating licenses to legalize his Root Energy practice, but was not approved by Vietnamese authorities. In 2018, Le Van Phuc returned to the United States and established a "Center for Guiding the Transmission of Energy to the Community" in California. Simultaneously, he organized online Root Energy classes, attracting many participants. In Vietnam, those participating in Root Energy classes are collectively known as the Vietnamese Bronze Drum Root Energy group (using the bronze drum as a symbol and the slogan "The Era of Wisdom - Love - Peace"). Additionally, smaller Root Energy groups are named after their localities to distinguish them from the main group. For example, in Nghe An province, there is a private group called "NLG LQVT KNM - NA," meaning "New Era Cosmic Radiant Root Energy - Nghe An."

As if to “prove” his appearance was ordained by the Creator, Le Van Phuc further asserted, “A beautiful soul conversed with me. It said it came from a place very far from Earth, from the universe. That it came from the civilization of the Creator, a civilization with exceptionally advanced intelligence. It said that this was its first time on our planet. It asked permission from the Creator to come to Earth to help solve humanity’s problems, so that we can continue to evolve.”

With the promise of curing all diseases, from cancer, depression, stomach problems, bone and joint diseases, diabetes, to infertility and barrenness… through a method of drawing energy from extraterrestrial civilizations and transmitting it to participants by looking at Le Van Phuc's forehead during each livestream, participants only need to attend online classes from level 1 to level 5 to be able to cure incurable diseases… Clearly, this is unscientific, yet in a short time, many gullible people still participated in online Original Energy classes from level 1 to level 3 and even went to Malaysia, Thailand, and the US to attend advanced classes and levels 4 and 5.

There are signs of profiteering.

Accessing Facebook, we searched for phrases like "Natural Energy" or "Natural Energy from Bronze Drums," and hundreds of results appeared. Despite numerous Facebook groups and pages dedicated to Natural Energy, they all led to the pages "NLG Energy University," "NLG Vietnam Global," and the YouTube channel "NLG Energy University," to follow the live schedule at 2 PM daily (Vietnam time).

It's worth noting that each page has thousands of likes and followers. For open groups, participants only need to click "like" on the page to join and follow the class. For closed groups, however, participants must be invited by a member of the group to log in and join the class.

According to investigations and updated information from authorities, approximately 140 people in Nghe An province have directly participated in the "Basic Energy" classes. These participants in Nghe An have formed a private group with the abbreviation "NLG LQVT KNM - NA". The members mainly come from Vinh City, Hung Nguyen District, Cua Lo Town, and some neighboring districts.

After being taken to the home and speaking with a participant in the Root Energy course in Vinh City, we learned that Mr. A. had been attending the course since 2022. After completing online courses 1, 2, and 3, he registered to attend an advanced course in Thailand for a week, costing tens of millions of dong, including airfare, food, and hotel. Not to mention, he also bought three books: "Stem Cells - Your Great Physician" for 750,000 dong, "The Heart of the Soul" for 1.1 million dong, and "The Common Denominator" for 950,000 dong. Furthermore, through the Root Energy course, Mr. A. was also offered to buy "clean food" – chicken, duck, and pork – from a company named DP, located in Long Thanh, Dong Nai.

Based on information shared by participants in the "Original Energy" group, we searched for the name of the company providing clean food, and found many promotional posts about this farm on the NLG Vietnam global page. Many personal accounts even praised the farm owner for using "Original Energy" to communicate with chickens, ducks, geese, and pigs. One account named KYN exclaimed, "I love the geese so much!" when the farm owner posted a video of newly hatched geese being raised under a heat lamp. Another account, TC, commented, "They look so adorable." In reality, this facility has posted images of raising chickens, geese, ducks, and pigs for slaughter and sale on "Original Energy" groups. However, they don't seem concerned about whether the farm has been granted a certificate of eligibility for livestock farming or whether the food source has undergone food safety and hygiene inspections.

In Hung Nguyen district, according to information from the authorities, 14 people have joined the "Original Energy" group, introduced and encouraged by Ms. HTP residing in Hung Nguyen town. Most of the participants are from good backgrounds, retired officials, and join with the goal of improving their health and preventing disease. The majority have participated in free online classes 1, 2, and 3. Three individuals have traveled to Thailand and Malaysia to attend class 4 and the advanced level.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Phan Thanh Binh, Deputy Head of the Hung Nguyen District Police, monitoring has revealed that the "Global Energy Vietnam" group currently has hundreds of thousands of followers. This group has used various methods to propagate its message and attract students, initially driven by curiosity and a desire to learn about healing and improving health. They then guide students towards spiritual matters and emphasize the power of the universe. To further solidify and increase the students' trust, the group also exploits individuals who falsely claim to be professors, doctors from abroad, or retired police officers working at major hospitals to promote their group and recruit participants.

Lieutenant Colonel Phan Thanh Bình added: Besides spreading false information, the "Original Energy of Vietnamese Bronze Drums" also shows signs of economic exploitation. For example, the first, second, and third levels of the Original Energy group are usually completely free, but require participants to register in advance to be assigned to a class and log into a chat room to receive energy from extraterrestrial civilizations by looking at the forehead of "Uncle Phúc." However, according to many IT experts, this isn't entirely a "pipe dream," because according to the advertising payment policies of Facebook, YouTube, etc., the more people like the page and follow the group, the more money the page's founders earn from online advertising services.

Moreover, during the classes, the participants guide students towards higher levels such as grades 3 and 4, and encourage them to pay tuition fees, group support fees, and exorbitant prices for self-study books. For advanced grade 3 or grades 4 and 5, they have to spend tens of millions of dong (more expensive than a trip abroad) to travel to Thailand, Malaysia, or even the United States to attend.

The veneration of Le Van Phuc and the deification of cosmic energy will cause many people to waste time and negatively impact their health, especially their eyesight (due to constantly staring at phone and computer screens for hours). The worship of primal energy will also lead them to ignore medical treatments, missing the golden opportunity for treatment when the disease is in its early stages. Furthermore, the participants include retired officials and educated individuals who have developed anti-historical sentiments and worshipped fictitious things, causing widespread anxiety among the population.

"Given the complex developments surrounding 'Root Energy,' the Provincial Police have directed local police forces to closely monitor and track the situation, while also intensifying propaganda efforts to raise public awareness of unscientific information related to 'Root Energy,' urging people not to believe in unverified training or healing methods that could negatively impact their health and social order and safety. Furthermore, caution is advised when joining any illegal organization, association, or group to avoid financial loss and health problems," a provincial police leader stated.

Organizations or groups promoting "Root Energy" have never been recognized by any regulatory body or scientific research institute in Vietnam, and healing through Root Energy lacks scientific basis. In reality, the veneration and practice of Root Energy will cause those with newly diagnosed illnesses to disregard and lose faith in scientifically recognized medical treatments, missing the golden opportunity for treatment in the early stages. This leads to wasted time, money, and health, not to mention the potential for "buying clean food" to be truly safe. Therefore, the public needs to be extremely cautious. Authorities need to quickly intervene, intensify propaganda, and, based on legal regulations, dismantle these groups operating in their areas to prevent further recruitment and expansion of participants. Simultaneously, they should monitor the circulation of materials related to Root Energy, as these are often unregulated documents that, if disseminated within the community, could be extremely harmful…
