Beware of tactics involving the use of false identities to undermine the regime.

The tactic of self-proclaiming a title is not new. On the internet, hostile and reactionary forces are publishing numerous articles using derogatory terms to sow suspicion, create regional divisions, and fracture the unity of our people. Given the sophisticated and ever-changing tactics employed by these hostile and reactionary forces, if we are not vigilant, the negative consequences will be extremely dangerous.

A recent article on the website of the terrorist organization Viet Tan can be considered a prime example of this tactic. Under the title: "The Heart of a Northern Doctor: 'Why Does He Prefer Southerners?'" this article is written in a narrative style about the life of a "doctor" named "Nhan Le." According to the article, "Doctor Nhan Le" was born, raised, and educated in the North "...but now says we Northerners have ruined everything, and then prefers the South, and even the Southern regime before 1975...". Then, "Doctor Nhan Le" himself creates the opinion that "Nhan Le has 'bit the hand that feeds him'... in short, betrayed the place that raised him, so how does Nhan Le respond?".

The entire content of "Dr. Nhan Le's" response is nothing more than a smear of reality, slandering the socialist regime, distorting the policies and guidelines of the Vietnamese Party and State; praising the "Republic of Vietnam" regime; praising the people of the South for "living with humanity..." and claiming that these good qualities of the South are due to living under the "Republic of Vietnam" regime; slandering the people of the North and implying that Saigon now "is no longer what it used to be..." because the people of the North have made it "desolate"; "made it lose its humanity...". The hidden meaning behind "Dr. Nhan Le's" seemingly persuasive writing is nothing more than the incitement of regional discrimination and division.

Public opinion is not easily deceived.

There is no information, no specific address, about the person who calls themselves "Dr. Nhan Le" to verify the authenticity of the story. From their workplace to their career path and achievements... all this information is a complete blank. Yet, this self-proclaimed "Dr. Nhan Le" recounts their life story, from birth and upbringing to becoming a doctor, in great detail, interspersed with biased viewpoints to criticize the policies of the Vietnamese Communist Party and the State; to slander the regime, incite regional discrimination, and sow discord within the national unity. Most of the language used in this article reflects a resentful, bitter attitude that is inappropriate and unsuitable for someone bearing the title of doctor.

Another point worth noting is that this article was previously published on websites hostile to the Vietnamese government in 2018. However, on August 8, 2021, amidst the complicated Covid-19 pandemic situation in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces, this article was posted on the Facebook page of the terrorist organization Viet Tan. This action was aimed at "dividing the national unity" by reviving "regional territorialism"—a tactic they have repeatedly used to undermine Vietnam.

Theydistortion, fabricationSome have suggested there's a "political conspiracy" behind deploying forces from the North to support Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern provinces in combating the pandemic. However, even the most delusional minds can't imagine what kind of "political conspiracy" lies behind the reason for helping Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern localities fight the Covid-19 pandemic. On the contrary, the only vivid and tangible truth that every Vietnamese citizen knows and sees is that the entire nation is standing shoulder to shoulder, united in determination to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, so that peaceful life can return to the people as soon as possible, and not only Ho Chi Minh City but the whole country can continue to restore production, stabilize and develop socio-economic conditions, care for people's lives, and protect their health.

Don't be vague or delusional.

Hostile, reactionary, and politically opportunistic forces mistakenly believe that reviving the past and promoting regional divisions will incite discriminatory attitudes, discrimination, and a North-South divide... To achieve the peace, independence, and unity that this S-shaped land of Vietnam enjoys today, the entire Vietnamese nation has endured countless long and arduous struggles and sacrifices against foreign invaders. More than anyone else, the Vietnamese people deeply understand the value of peace, independence, and freedom; the value of unity and solidarity.

Unity and solidarity are the source of collective strength and national power to defeat foreign invaders. This lesson remains invaluable in the cause of national renewal, construction, and defense, especially in the current fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. No one in this nation would be foolish enough to want to return to the painful past, the scene of national loss, home destruction, and divided mountains and rivers. Cherishing the achievements gained, the Party, State, and people of Vietnam always stand shoulder to shoulder, united in heart and mind, to safeguard that peace, independence, freedom, and unity with all their spirit and strength.

Deliberately reviving "regional and territorial divisions" to sow discord and undermine the national unity of Vietnam is a sinister plot by hostile and reactionary forces. However sophisticated and deceptive these schemes and tactics may be, they cannot deceive the heightened vigilance, insightful understanding, and strong sense of responsibility of the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army.
